    Just make it look like the picture. Nobody is ever going to check it. It looks like the body line on the bottom, the top of the bed on the back and just above the door handle on the door and just follow it through to the front. I wouldn't let that hold up progress.

    Grab a magnet and check it. Stainless is not magnetic and does not rust. Chrome plated steel is magnetic and will rust when exposed.

    What-u-got oil. Any oil is better than no oil... when you are runnin' on empty. But really, usually the store brand, unless something else is on sale. 10W-40 on a tight engine, 20W-50 on an old classic, a work truck or race car. 10W30 on modern daily driver LS motor.

    Like Loren said... All of those problems that you mentioned, and probably more. If your current exhaust is working good, you might want to keep it. If you do go with the headers, be ready to do some work to get them to work correctly, whatever it winds up being. Leaks, burnt plug wires, bracket...

    Oh, this is another thread with the same title as the other one about the flywheel. Show us some pictures of the truck, so we can understand what you are working with. If it looks nice, fix it right, if it is a POS, maybe do something different. Nothing is ever "cheap".

    If the flexplate is on backwards the starter gear wont engage correctly. How does that look? There is a reason. Either the flywheel is backwards or the convertor is not seated.

    ****'ll buff out... not really. A good welding shop might be able to weld that back together for a couple of hundred, if you clean it all up real good, and all of the pieces fit back together.

    Bad Master Cylinder?

    You've already replaced about everything else, so why not replace the master cylinder too? It is pretty common for them to stop working correctly. You could rebuild it, but the parts stores have them ready to install for a reasonable price.
