What are these parts called, and where can I find them?

New Borgeson shaft, getting ready to get it cut down, fit, painted and installed

What are these parts called, and where can I find them?

Another quick update. Finally have the column put back together. Everything I could find a replacement part for has been replaced with exception of ignition cylinder, because that was pretty much already new. Brand new "factory" steering wheel and button from LMC will be installed after I get...

    Say no to Cracks

Good luck with those rear springs - to this day, that's still the biggest bitch of a job on my K10 I ever did. Cutting the bolts off because they were all seized, and then having to melt and burn the old bushings out because they were seized, and then having to notch, grind and cut out the old...

    Fuel tanks

I replaced both of mine, along with the straps, from underneath with the bed still in place. It wasn't that bad. If I had to do it again, I'd do it the same way

What are these parts called, and where can I find them?

Yeah they're stupid expensive but that's how frustrated I was. Still not done, btw. I'm only finding 20 minutes here and there between work and the kids to get it done. I'm hoping to get it mounted back in the truck and start on the Borgeson shaft this weekend

What are these parts called, and where can I find them?

Also, I had it the shaft all out together one time, only to find out that the metal washer with the four screwholes was directional, and I of course had it upside down. I had to take it all back apart and start the whole process again.

What are these parts called, and where can I find them?

Will do. I'm finally close to having the column all back together and reinstalled, after a hell of a time getting it priced together and then taken back apart because something wasn't right. I'm down to the blinker switch install, and then everything I'm front of that is on order from LMC. I'll...

Appreciate the advice but the Borgeson shaft is already been delivered and getting installed sometime this week

What are these parts called, and where can I find them?

I figure I may as well post pics of steering wheel column progress. Got these parts in from sandblaster today and started spray painting. Going to attempt reassembly over the weekend, with all new switches and bearings. Also bought a Borgeson u-joint steering shaft I'll be installing

I'll give that a shot - thank you

What are these parts called, and where can I find them?

Nothing really except it's a little brittle. It would just bug me to not replace it while it's open but wouldn't be the end of the world if I couldn't. The main concern is that round peice. It's broken and looks like crap, and I don't want to have to tear the entire column down again to replace...

What are these parts called, and where can I find them?

I mean that looks exactly like what I need for the gasket- awesome, thank you for that

What are these parts called, and where can I find them?

I got distracted and sidetracked from my complete re-wire, and replacing my turn signal switch has now turned into a full blown steering column rebuild. I already have most of the parts I need, and the remaining parts I get back from the sandblaster tomorrow. There are a few things that I still...

Couldn't you buy the headlight connector kit and not have to buy the crimpers?

Old turn signal switch was broken in a few spots and it felt terrible.

    Wiring Harness journal

I couldn't stand the thought of plugging my new wiring harness into a ****** old turn signal switch so I went ahead and got a new one. Pulled the steering wheel (barely, the threads on the wheel that you use for the puller are totally stripped, I'll have to get a new wheel now) and removed the...

    73 c10 Windshield wiper switch back-light

For anyone looking in the future, I found this https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c/standard-ignition/standard-ignition-2-terminal-multi-purpose-light-socket/std0/s74/v/a/3358/automotive-truck-1977-chevrolet-k10-pickup-4wd and it seems like it works perfectly. I'll update if that changes

    73 c10 Windshield wiper switch back-light

Looking on LMC, I found this https://www.lmctruck.com/1973-87-chevy-gmc/cc-1973-87-temperature-control-assemblies-parts Can anyone confirm that parts 8 & 9 are the same as what goes into the wiper switch?

What to do about bent up dash cross braces?

Hey all. I'm in the beginning stages of a complete wiring harness replacement, and will be purchasing either the Dakota Digital or Autometer Invision gauge setup, along with new wiper switch, headlight switch, etc. After I bought this truck a few years back, I ripped out all the gauges that...

    Wiring Harness journal

Both of the switches had wiring plugged into them. The non zip ties switch is definitely the brake lights. I just got finished converting to hydroboost and had to adjust that because my brake lights were always on. The switch on the right didn't have a vacuum light attached to it but maybe Im...
