Fresh Air vents with factory A/C?

This is a ‘78… with a non-A/C kick panel installed. It is an A/C truck but the original system was trashed so it got Vintage Air. Instead of blocking the vent I installed the manual vent.

Fresh Air vents with factory A/C?

A/C trucks were vacuum controlled by Heat/A/C controls, non A/C trucks got a pull handle. No drivers side vent. LMCs site under “Interior Panels”

I’m not familiar with that diesel setup but… Could it have a fusible link in the wiring?

It would’ve helped to have checked the backlash before removing the carrier also…..

    Steering Correction

I’ve got the drop pitman with a 4” lift kit on my ‘78 K20, it all came together from ORD. The link is at a fairly steep angle, I haven’t gotten to drive it yet, but I’ll evaluate the steering when I do and make any changes and or adjustments then. When it come to driveshafts you can’t just...

Door Window Glass Channel Rock auto vs Lmc

I used the LMC product on my wing windows, it worked as intended. There’s a good chance the product will be made by the same offshore manufacturer no matter who you get it from…

That truck looks good, nice candidate for a project.

    Eastwood Versus POR15

I’ve used POR 15 maybe 5-6 times over the years… it worked good for small rusted areas, like battery trays, etc.. I wouldn’t even consider using it on an entire frame, there are way better and less expensive paint options available.

    1984 K20 Suburban Fender Flare

Those were on my truck when I got it, and they were just as bucket described… ugly, hiding something uglier.

Th700 cooler line nuts & tools

The “Crows Foot” socket comes in handy a lot of times… Use Anti-Sieze on the threads when reassembling, don’t over tighten it and distort the flare.

Custom fabric inlays on dash side panels- how to attach fabric?

The original plastic plate had posts with speed nuts. This looks like a good opportunity for the 3D printer folks to make a custom part….

Lift options and recommendations for a 1980 Jimmy

I looked at all those options before purchasing a 4” lift for my ‘78. I went with the complete off the shelf BDS kit from ORD. Springs, shackles, shocks, brake lines etc….they offer it any way you need. The multi leaf springs are much more expensive, I couldn’t justify the expense for my project.

    Wanting an Upgrade

My ‘78 Scottsdale had no headliner, but does have the Cargo light option. I had to replace the light as it was damaged, installing the wiring between the switch and light can be difficult to deal with, the cab is doubled walled there. LMC offers a one piece headliner that doesn’t require all...

Middle one, bottom row. The new ones sold by Jeggs & Summit are for drag racing and have no provision for turning the Governor.

I would really like a turbo 400 in my truck

I just changed the 203 to a 208 behind my TH400. A 6-7” tail shaft is needed, I could only find a good used one from Novak.

    Slow Climb To The Top

TH400 kick down solenoid has a single wire connection on the drivers side of the unit. I believe the wire is routed along with the starter wires. The adjustable switch is located above the throttle pedal.

    Rear body mounts for a 74 k20

First thing is loosen all four mounts, breaker bar or impact, either will work. Try not to twist any of the bolts off. Jack up one corner at a time…it’s tough but can be done.

    Pure SEX!

I had a ‘72 as a much younger man, I loved it and still do love that generation. A neighbor up the street has a red 69 sitting in the garage, it was her husbands. I’ve told her several times I’d be interested if she sold it. The later generations are incredible, my buddy has a ‘15 it’s stupid...
