No line pressure to rear disc conversion, no prop valve

My current build has a dis/disc master cylinder but my old truck had a dis/drum master cylinder, I just swap to one with a larger bore and reservoir.

No line pressure to rear disc conversion, no prop valve

Not having a proportioning valve is not the problem, I don’t have one and my brakes are fine. It’s not the right thing to do and I’ll probably run over a bus full of nuns but I’m just saying that’s not it. I agree that you may need to look at the master cylinder. With my disc swap I’m running...

    Car Hauler tips/tricks/ideas

I’ve had my trailer for a long time and I still keep telling myself that I need to have 8-10 “D” rings added to it. You can’t have enough tie down points and stake pockets along the sides aren’t really positioned good for strapping down a car or truck. My next round of ratchet straps will be...

No line pressure to rear disc conversion, no prop valve

Do you still have the load sensing proportioning valve in the rear? (at the top of the rear axle flex hose)

    Dana 60 BOM # confusion

Yeah, that's entirely possible. I was just thinking that since he couldn't find the BOM and if the housing is truly incomplete it could possibly be from an equipment application.

    Dana 60 BOM # confusion

No knuckles as in missing the outer parts or everything on the ends of the tubes has been cut off? Got any other pics of the axle?

    Inconsistent fuel pressure

I don’t know about the noise but what regulator are you using? Some of the cheaper designs can be inconsistent. Do you run a return line?

Question about converting to a roller cam

For Mark IV's there's no lifter retainer stuff used, the lifters themselves are linked together in pairs - that's all. There are threaded holes on each side of the cam bore but I don't know what they're for, I've never seen them used on a Mark IV. I'd be concerned about the overall length of...

    Header farts

The real lesson here is cheap headers (or expensive headers with thin flanges) suck. Thick flanges don't warp easily which means the gaskets are far less prone to leak. My headers have a 3/8" flange and only recommended high temp RTV, no leaks here.

    K25 ON A K10 FRAME

Technically, I've read that some 20 series frames are thicker but we're talking about MM's not a significant amount. Anything that will damage a 10 series frame will damage a 20 series frame. You can always box, reinforce, etc but there's a domino effect that's hard to stop. I would highly...

    K25 ON A K10 FRAME

Everything from the cab forward will bolt on but there are some things that will need to be addressed; - obviously you'll need a short bed - you'll probably need 16 gal tanks, I do not believe the longer 20 gal tanks will fit a swb - rear driveshaft will need to be shortened - the tcase...

mark 4 454 engine oil cooler lines

AN stuff is great but it might be an expensive option, I would only go this route if you’re planning to keep the truck long term. On your currant hoses, where the metal meets the rubber is the metal crimped or a hex fitting?

mark 4 454 engine oil cooler lines

Check the hose fittings, I thought all of the earlier models had screw together fittings so you only need to source the hose itself and reuse your fittings.

Any reason given for why your driveshaft cannot be cut down?

85+ square body but you’ll need to check the options (cruise or not, tilt, auto vs manual)

What size crush washers for front caliper banjo bolt?

I typically reuse the washers unless they’ve gotten jacked up somehow. I always flip them over for a fresh bite (they are soft copper for a reason).

Wheel spacer for my 1986 GMC K3500 3+3….

I have a friend that had a dually with 12.50 wide tires on stock wheels and 3” spacers between the tires. The spacer a little big because you could put your hand between the sidewalls, 2” spacers would have probably been perfect.

    1984 k10 crossmember question??

I see it now, thanks. With the dark gray background I didn’t notice the link. The Tejas crossmember will only work with a short foot adapter, the OP’s ‘84 should have a tall adapter.

NP203 transfer case availability and rebuild

@Old Guy Bill it’s been a while but I’m 99% sure that all of the GM versions of the 203 use the same input shaft bearing. The 205’s use a larger input shaft bearing for 32 spline units.
