How to ID 16" 8 bolt wheels?
Studs are 9/16", probably takes a 7/8" wrench or socket to tighten/loosen them? 7/8" and 22mm are pretty close. I have a tool Dad made that's basically a nut driver for the lug nuts, with a 22mm socket on it. The lug nuts are 14mm threads on the GMT 400, 5 lug and 8 lug. The difference between the lug nuts on my Burb and my crew cab is the Burb ones don't have the external threads on the top, that the plastic covers thread onto, and the crew cab ones do have those. What have you done to your square lately??
Could also be a dead or dying cell in the battery. Crew cab wouldn't start today, trying to leave the toy show. Got a jump, got the parts store and the battery had a dead cell. Yes those are GMT 400/OBS 8 lug wheels. I have a set of my crew cab. They use a stainless steel trim ring and a plastic center cap (either chrome or black). We had a 2004 Chrysler and a 2006 GMC, both bought used in 2013, that were "supposed" to be the daily drivers. Both vehicles did that job, but not without frequent servicing. They both quit, and the ol Burb just kept going. Now the ol crew cab does likewise. Only way I'd have something way newer...- HotWheelsBurban

Tripod mirrors on lowered trucks?
Back when we had our parts store, one of our drivers was in the '78 Sierra shop truck and got hit by oncoming traffic, knocked the mirror glass out. Yup. Plastic tank on burb radiator cracked a few years ago; it was a pinhole leak for a year or so, then one weekend it got really bad. So off to the radiator shop. I could have easily replaced it, but my work schedule wouldn't let me have a day to do it. So I paid someone and had the truck back...- HotWheelsBurban

Those wheels are actually factory on the GMT 800(1999-2007) trucks, but a lot of people run them on the 400s because they are a bit lighter than the steel wheels. I'll be among that bunch as soon as I find a set I can afford, when I have the $$. And personally I prefer the 400 style 8 lug cap as...- HotWheelsBurban

Daughters ‘87 needs to ride smooth.
My one ton crew cab has E rated 245/75R16 tires, Michelin on the rear and BFG commercial T/As on the front.
