    Budget Beater Build: 2004 Dakota

That very well could be. It wouldn't be the strangest thing to ever happen with that truck. So, today went well. The Dakota ran great on my work commute. I never had a vehicle with leather seats before other than my Vette that doesn't get driven in the cold. I can tell you that I don't...

    Budget Beater Build: 2004 Dakota

I wouldn't hesitate to replace the controller if I could find one cheaply. None of the lights have worked in mine for years.

    Budget Beater Build: 2004 Dakota

It's funny that you mentioned the HVAC resistor. The afore mentioned Ram of mine eats them like candy. I keep one in the truck with me all the time and at least one on the shelf at home. I may get 3 months out of one if I'm lucky.

It's a 2007 Ram Cummins. It's pushing out around the overflow fitting and blowing it back on the air box.

I'll be interested to see what it does also. My bet is no better than around 14 or so with my mixed commute. But, seeing how regular unleaded is $2.05/gallon cheaper than Diesel right now here, I may actually save a little money this week. As I type this, gas is $3.95 and diesel is $5.99.

    Budget Beater Build: 2004 Dakota

So, my daily driver Ram decided that today would be a great day to start puking antifreeze out of the upper tank area of the radiator. Starting tomorrow, the Dakota is going to get commuter duty until I get the Ram fixed. I actually took the Dakota to Pittsburgh last week for it's first...

Is anyone having any luck buying a vehicle from Craigslist/Facebook Marketplace right now?

Maybe that's it. I guess that my age is showing, but it is so much easier to just talk to someone.

Is anyone having any luck buying a vehicle from Craigslist/Facebook Marketplace right now?

I'm glad that it isn't just me going through this. Thankfully, I haven't run across any of the spammer flippers yet.

Is anyone having any luck buying a vehicle from Craigslist/Facebook Marketplace right now?

Pulling this thread of mine back up again after a few months. After looking pretty much all summer, a '86 Corvette show up on marketplace 2 hrs away from me in eastern OH. Like a fool, I send a message to the sender, get an immediate reply and then I forward my phone number to them and asked...

    SR's 1992 Dakota

I understand completely. The insurance is definitely something to consider. It was approx $700/year to add my Dakota on the insurance. We are using it a good bit right now, in fact the wife is taking it to work the next few days while I put her F150 in the air to spray the fame down with...

    SR's 1992 Dakota

Looks like a great old Dodge Rob. It's definitely worth the effort to throw some parts at it.

What new tools have you got lately?

Absolutely. That's the way to do it. My brother-in-law only pull our Alaskan mill out once in a while for a specific job. I'm going to be doing a picnic table this winter as a project. I'll likely cut the top and benches out of one of our own trees using it.

What new tools have you got lately?

Yeah, we never run anything that big around here.

What new tools have you got lately?

I also have an Alaskan mill. I use one of my 361's with it. You may be the only other person that I've talked to that actually has one.

What new tools have you got lately?

That is one serious saw. I have two 361's and a 230 CE. Yours makes those look like toys.

What new tools have you got lately?

Quick backstory on this Oil Pressure Switch socket that I picked up today at AutoZone. As some of you know, I've been working on an old Dodge Dakota off and on for the last several months. The oil pressure gauge hasn't worked since I got the truck and I just noticed this week that it was...

Got the oil pressure gauge working today. Simple pressure sensor replacement. You could say that the old one was used up.

My daily driver has me stumped--No start/Slow start issue

I'm sure that you already checked for this, but I've had battery cables corrode inside the insulation.

Not completely new here, but I had a question and didn't really know where to put it. Did any of you attend WyoTech?

My cousin taught for a while at the location in Blairsville PA until they closed a few years ago.

Any L98 350 People Here? I have a fuel pressure question

Excellent information. Thanks. I've never never taken the cheap route on this car in all of the years that I've owned it. However, that $180 price tag sure is better than the $400+ asking price for new ones.

Any L98 350 People Here? I have a fuel pressure question

Thanks. I've been looking at SouthBay. I'm assuming that yours are also remans like the ones listed in your link above correct?

Any L98 350 People Here? I have a fuel pressure question

@bucket Sorry to be pulling up this old thread. But, I have an injector question for you. I'm still on the factory GM Multec injectors, now some 35 years old. I'm starting to get some raw fuel smell out of the exhaust and a bit of haze when it is first started. (Definitely fuel not oil...

    Budget Beater Build: 2004 Dakota

Using the little truck to haul a small load of scrap wood today. I'm convinced that this is probably the first time that this truck has been used to haul anything other than a gas can.

Do I rebuild my SBC or swap for an LS3?

I have had a block at a local machine shop for literally almost a year and it still isn't back yet. Hopefully, the shops in your area aren't as completely understaffed and incompetent as the one I am dealing with. But, downtime may be a concern if you decide to rebuild.
