3” header back exhaust pipe kit for 2wd?

Okay you realize that dual 3 inch exhaust would be good on a 600 hp engine, but isn't going to be good on yours, you are going to lose exhaust velocity and hurt hp and torque. Rough numbers 1 inch of diameter per 100 hp . 300 hp engine. Single 3 inch exhaust or dual 1.5 inch. There are formulas...

    Oil Pressure and Temp

Have you grounded the wire to the oil pressure switch andbthe wire to the temp sender to see if the gauges read then?

    Replacing K20 fuel tank

Yes I have dual tanks . ^^^^ @idahovette gave you good advice. The valve is in an awkward place, but even with the tank in place you can get to it and it's lines.

    Numerous Lighting Issues

The reason your headlights are blinking is there is a short or high amperage draw on the headlight circuit. There is a breaker in the headlight switch itself that makes the headlights lights blink instead of just shutting off. It's a safety feature and an item I don't like about certain...

    Replacing K20 fuel tank

Unbolt the tank with the brackets, reach up with pruning shears, cut your hoses, use new hose going on. These really aren't a big deal I drop as a whole assembly, tank ,sender ,brackets filler, the whole ball of wax. I go back up as whole assembly, new hoses already clamped on the tank and second set...

What have you done to your square lately??

You can make a tps tester out of a 5 volt phone charger. Unplug the tps, hook the phone charger to it. Check voltage with throttle closed, check voltage at WOT. I think your readings are supposed to be .3 volts and 4.8 volts.

I think a rod spun a bearing in my rebuilt 454

Yep I was trying to stay out of this, but I'm wondering if those aren't 4 bolt caps on a factory 2 bolt block that's been line honed,in which case it could kind of make sense.

    Manifold and ported vacuum

The centrifugal advance is doing its job like it's supposed to. Did you read ignition 101 and the link I put to it,you need to understand all the parts of the distributor and how they interact. Watching short you tube videos isn't going to do it. Post 24 go to the link open it go to timing 101...

73-87 Rear Disc Brake Conversion Problem

Like This was a common problem with 914 rear calipers, people didn't realize you had to physically set the depth of the piston with a set screw,or the rear brakes worked like crap. So on initial setup you'd set the calipers to. 004 clearance,I'm wondering if the cadillac calipers are adjusted...

73-87 Rear Disc Brake Conversion Problem

I've worked on calipers where you actually were setting how far the piston retracted via adjustment with a set screw,it was done so that the brakes didn't retract the piston two far,the set screw was a physical stop so the pads could never retract more than. .004 from the rotor, this adjustment...

I think a rod spun a bearing in my rebuilt 454

Yea,but not hurt bad. Grind the crank resize that one rod, clean, check and double check all oil clearances .

    Manifold and ported vacuum

Remember when I told you to set the timing at 36 degrees and how-to do it. That's what you need to do. You aren't worried about idle timing. How are you getting your 27 and 12 numbers on your vacuum advance? Do you know what can you have? They are not all the same which is why I asked for all the...

    Manifold and ported vacuum

When you set the ignition up right it will run better on manifold vacuum. He says right in his video manifold and ported are the same once you are moving, just like i told you. I believe he also said like I said vacuum advance does nothing on acceleration,at WOT you don't have any vacuum,none...

    FUEL TANK CAPACITY 1982 K10 4x4

I ended up with that truck. Now 20 gallon swapped, accidently. Got 20 gallon tanks assuming all longbeds were the same. FWIW it's a dirt simple swap other than buying a different vent hose.

73-87 Rear Disc Brake Conversion Problem

What is the piston diameter in your stock calipers and your eldorado calipers. Was your master designed for a 4 wheel disc. Or 2 wheel disc 2 wheel drum. Did you adjust your calipers and cycle your ebrake levers?

    Manifold and ported vacuum

That video is wrong, what the man is saying is incorrect. I wrote this all up real good, but for some reason it wouldn't post, security error. refresh screen, poof everything was gone and I don't feel like rewriting it. Look up and read timing 101,learn why we have vacuum advance, when we need it,why...

    Manifold and ported vacuum

I do not understand what you are saying. Did adjust the timing more than once? Adjust it just one time then hook up your advance whether manifold or ported,if you switch from manifold to ported you do not readjust the timing. You will need to readjusted idle to stop the slamming when you put it...

    Manifold and ported vacuum

Is the vacuum advance hose disconnected and plugged when you set the timing? You are not readjusting timing when you move your vacuum source are you?

I think a rod spun a bearing in my rebuilt 454

I doubt it's that bad. Rods can be checked and resized, crank can be ground, very unlikely pistons got damaged.

Knocking/ticking noise after oil pan gasket

Well I'm going to guess that you pulled the flexplate cover and I'm pretty positive you pulled the oil pump. Make sure there is nothing loose inside the flexplate cover and it didn't get bent. Was there a gasket under the oil pump, shouldn't have been, but could have been if the surfaced were...

I think a rod spun a bearing in my rebuilt 454

I don't know if this a fact or just my opinion, but we did our own machine work,we didn't send anything out or buy reconditioned stuff elsewhere. That might be why we didn't have any problems, because we weren't counting or taking for granted that someone else had done the machine work...

I think a rod spun a bearing in my rebuilt 454

The big end of the rod eggs out. The bearing shell doesn't have proper interference, and it doesn't last. And the shop I was out we did thousands of rebuilds and I am absolutey certain we had less than a 1 percent failure rate.
