What lift do I have? How do I lift it more?

Right, and 1k could only buy some kinds of 35's. Not nearly all of them. It's nuts how much Interco's (and others) tires have inflated in prices the last several years. I think I know why, but it's political and I'm not going to start that, lol.

1996 Grand Cherokee transmission rebuild & on to other stuff

I'd use the trailer without a second thought. If the tongue was bent when you bought it, who knows how it had been overloaded. I'm betting it was loaded far more than it was rated for.

Oh, I hope you get the Suburban! And it winds up painted forest service green again too! What's the weight rating of your trailer?

What lift do I have? How do I lift it more?

A budget of 1k will only cover tires... and not big ones.

Can anyone tell me what this is??

The ones I remember had what was basically a hose clamp holding the magnet to the drive shaft.

Can anyone tell me what this is??

I worked at a junkyard for a bit in '02/'03 or so. I remember taking apart several cars with aftermarket cruise control like that. I don't remember what the switchgear looked like on any of them. I just remember the janky sensor setups.

Solid plan dude. Hopefully you can keep the rust away too.

    8.1 vortec into 1979 k30

Awesome! That's what I needed to know! I'll use the good flywheel I already have, along with the new clutch kit that I have too. I'll just have to get the 8.1 specific pilot bearing.

What have you done to your square lately??

While on the subject, a GMT 800 driver door will fit in the back of a '92 Camaro with the hatch fully closed. And so will a '98 Monte Carlo door.

    14bolt FF size vs 10bolt

The 208 was used from '81 to '88. Then the 241 was used after that. No 261 in these trucks. Yes, the 14 bolt diff is bigger, but the yoke is rather close to the center section for it's size. Your driveshaft will fit roughly the same after the swap. The conversion u-jount you need is Precision...

Is that an Olds 88 back there? I don't believe you did. What happened to the old one and how many miles ended up on it?

    TSL Super Swampers on pavement?

I've driven several sets on pavement. TSL's, SX's and even the Thornbirds that every one hates. One set of SX's were TERRIBLY out of round and were miserable at higher speeds, but the rest were fine. If you are used to driving a stock truck with wimpy all-season tires, it's going to be a bit...

    Best tires

These are the rascals im looking for: I priced them out about 10 years ago, but mine were still decent so I didn't buy any. I wish I would have. Without going out and looking, I believe they are the "Super Traction" model maybe. As it is now, I've got the 4 best ones on the rear and some new...

I've had several sets of Goodyears, mostly of the performance variety and a number of years ago. No complaints here.

What have you done to your square lately??

It's been 10+ years but yeah, I remember he had a bunch of info on his website. I had actually found Brian on ebay, back in the early days of it. He burned a custom chip for my TPI engine. He also updated it for me a few times to get some bugs worked out. He seems to be a real nice guy, but I...

What have you done to your square lately??

Two things come to mind. Either your vacuum leak was bad enough that it affected your throttle position in relation to rpm (your trans uses rpm and throttle angle to determine shift points) or they moved the throttle bracket when tightening your intake bolts and then re-adjusted your T.V. cable.

    8.1 vortec into 1979 k30

Lol, that was hard to read. I just can't figure out what would be different, because they supposedly are. They only thing I can figure is that they are manufactured to a different tolerance for the crank bolts. But I don't want to buy a $200 flywheel if I already have a couple in stock that...

What new tools have you got lately?

4th on the vice crimper. It works great. Before I had that thing, I did them all meticulously with various pairs of pliers. I always got great results, but it sucked, lol.

1985 chevy c30 cab and chassis 4x4 swap

Not necessarily. I believe 3.73 and 4:10 were still the most common. I believe you could also get C30's with a 3.21 ratio. Of course there were differences from year to year though. It really doesn't matter though, as swapping a C30 to any kind of a K is going to be far more of a challenge than...

1985 chevy c30 cab and chassis 4x4 swap

C6P or not, it doesn't matter. A K20 is going to have different rear perch spacing and different spring hangers, along with different hanger mounting pattern than a C30. A K20 will also have a 10 bolt or Dana 44 in the front, not the Dana 60 that would have been found in a K30. A C30 will...

    First major project vehicle!

With the info given, nobody can help without being there. We don't know what your wiring looks like or what's been messed with. If you look around in the library here, there should be electrical schematics (you will want the ones for "starting and charging" most likely) that you can use to...

    8.1 vortec into 1979 k30

Hey, what new flywheel did you get? If you bought the one that is supposedly specific to the 8.1, did you by chance compare it to your original 350's flywheel? I ask because the GM part# for the 8.1 flywheel also shows as working with the neutral balance 396 and 427 engines... which in turn...
