    Toe adjustment 1987 V10

But clearly seeing they are out is a lot different than them actually being toed out. It happens very often, where people look at their tires and think they are way out of wack. Personally, I can gap spark plugs with my eyes (typically within .003, I've been tested many times by disbelievers)...

Anyone running wipers bigger than 16" oem?

That illustration in the Anco pdf looks like the correct adapters. With those, you can use any blade that is designed for use with the modern j-hook.

    8.1 vortec into 1979 k30

Mine is a medium duty setup. It has the alternator on the passenger side, with the AC and PS on the driver side. It's some kind of ZF pump with a cowl-mounted, clear reservoir. You can see the fluid level at all times.

The stuff on the screws was usually a translucent amber type color. Not sure what it was. More rubbery than gooey.

    Toe adjustment 1987 V10

You might want to measure first. But let's take a step back. Were these parts already installed and you were driving the truck? Did you install these parts and then your tires were way out of alignment? What's the back story here? No matter the scenario however, it would be silly to cut tie...

Are you actually measuring it, or just eyeballing it?

Lol, I'm just a 1-finger-typer. Yeah I remembered the issue he had with the oil fouled plugs, but I couldn't resist the opportunity to tease you.

    O2 Sensor

I just came across this thread and was reading along, thinking the same thing. The O2 sensor wasn't the problem, it was the cam swap on stock tuning.

Oh yeah... and how insulting. His engine isn't "tired". It's simply "less new"

False. Gear it for power AND build a torquey engine too! Lol.

Anyone running wipers bigger than 16" oem?

Stock is 16", yes. But 18" fit and cover more area. I know people often say that it will cause more stress on the wiper motor, but GM used the same wiper motor on cars with 18" wipers. Personally, I have not found it to stress the bayonet connection. I believe it was @Turbo4whl that had maybe...

Ok, I wasn't sure what your goal was with figuring the desired rpm in 3rd gear. So let me ask you this, how often do you find yourself using overdrive currently? Do you think you will be able to use it more often with steeper gears? What about gearing it really steep, like 4.88's or 5:13's and...

Anyone running wipers bigger than 16" oem?

@Mark80K15 I just realized that the link you were referring to was from Summit and it does indeed show them as not available. I'm betting they are still available somewhere.

Anyone running wipers bigger than 16" oem?

Do you mean they came pre-installed, for use on J-hook wiper arms? Or they came with the J-hook to bayonet style adapters?

    Driveshaft length

Is the truck stock height with original GM shafts still? If so, yeah it *should* be fine. If it's lifted with stock shafts, the rear should be perfectly fine, but the front may be too short.

Anyone running wipers bigger than 16" oem?

Sometimes the j-hook adapters come with wiper blades, but it's very rare these days. I bought some from Summit Racing a while back. They adapters hang on better to the bayonet better because they are designed specifically for it. Many of the wiper blades that are designed to fit many types...

I know that everyone says not to pull in OD. But I've always been of the opinion that if it's not hunting for gears and the converter is staying locked, just run it in OD. The steeper the gearing is, the easier it is to achieve that scenario. If the converter is locked, it's not hunting between...

    Headers and O2 sensor

Oh yeah and one other thing... that Mythbusters TV show was a crock of sh!t. So much of that "testing" they did was an absolute joke and did not account for real life variables and conditions.

    Headers and O2 sensor

Decades of independent testing has shown that long tube headers often produce gains in power, even on bone-stock engines and often in the low to mid range of the power band as well. It's a common misconception that long tube headers only produce gains at high rpm and on modified engines. The...

New Hinge Alignment with NO Reference Marks

Install the weatherstripping, but leave the striker out. Install the hinges to the cab and door, but keep all bolts a little loose. Drip Rail Sealant

I don't know what GM used on them, but a lot of 80's and 90's GM cars used a thin, sticky back sealing tape on weatherstripping rails and things that were attached the same way as the squarebody drip rails. The mounting screws usually had some type of goopy/tacky sealant on them as well. It...

1996 Grand Cherokee transmission rebuild & on to other stuff

I would absolutely hate to tie down a truck with those sides on there. Iirc, you need 78 or 79 inches of clearance for the width of the front axle and hubs. But I'm foggy on that measurement since I've been pulling a deckover for several years now.

1996 Grand Cherokee transmission rebuild & on to other stuff

Personally, I'd pull it onto the trailer. 18ft is a decent deck length, but not much wiggle room to get the tongue loaded properly. I guess it depends a lot on your axle placement too. I don't remember exactly what your trailer looks like.
