Vbb...."With doublers, the 205 can be as low as 4:1 for low range" what exactly do you mean there....how does one get a "doubler" for a 205? And is that price prohibitive or is it something a guy can do on a weekend? I'm not the all knowing on things like that so any advice would be appreciated.- Kurnacopia

Yes and No Calsgt. The gentleman I spoke to told me the 208 was a bit weaker in its design than the 241. I'm going with a stroked 383 which will put out some power. I have recently purchased an NP205 for the 4L60e I am installing on my 1978 Chevy Scottsdale. I was chatted up, in depth, by a transmission guy telling me how good the 241 is and why I should get one. How do I know if I have a Dana 44 HD? The Dana 44HD has a larger knuckle bearings and axle u-joints and it can be easily identified by the 12 bolt knuckle ball seal. So says Google......- Kurnacopia

I took everyone's advice and cleaned that sucker good this weekend. I found 44-81 stamped on the lower part of the axle. So Dana 44 it is. I've purchase Mile marker hubs, spicer U joints, and timkin bearings and races for a complete rebuilt next weekend. I also ordered a bearing and race driver...- Kurnacopia

Burnouts with a NP203 full time 4wd?
An NP203 can be found all over the place for $100.00 bucks. If it breaks grab anther one...or better yet, a np205. Go big or go home bro! (as long as its not your daily driver) ~ wink- Kurnacopia

Do I rebuild my SBC or swap for an LS3?
I built a stroked 350 (383) with all eagle products...internally balanced. I picked the block and had a machine shop do all the balancing and machining of the block. Removing Old Paint
Ive been removing primer from my 74 K5 Blazer every weekend for 2 years. I use a product called Citristrip. Its not harsh and works very well on a top coat of paint that's just not quality or very thick. How to achieve tighter steering?
