    I'm about to put a kill switch on the starter wire (PPL-6) under the dash. I was trying to figure out if there was a way to hook it to the horn so if someone tried to start the car the horn would honk. The problem I run into of course is the horn is activated by closing the ground (BLK-28)...

    My bet is bad connection with door jamb switch. The WHT-156 connects with the door switch and splices with another WHT-156 wire that runs to the courtesy lights & dome light. I figure your problem is somewhere from the jamb switch to the splice. After reading this post I decided to fix my...

    Maybe this will help. I would start by checking TAN-159 wire. Especially since you think it started after steering column swap. Double check connection at column. (updated pic- accidentally highlighted dimmer instead of light switch)

    Does your truck have gauges or idiot light? What type of alternator? SI or CS? - Probably a CS series- is the wire terminal PLFS or PLIS ? also BRN -25 (brown wire)-supplying field current excites "starts" the alternator. It doesn't tell the alternator to charge or not. Double check: #1...

    With gauges- I believe the brown wire - BRN-25 becomes (at bulkhead) BRN/WHT-130 that should splice with ORN-300 that connects to ignition switch- (or just connect at ignition w/ ORN-300)
