    2/4 drop wheel sizing

Hey everybody been a long time since I've posted anything but I have a 86 2wd Silverado lwb and I'm looking into lowering it 2/4 and put a stout 350/700R4 combo eventually. Well I am in search of new rims and tires so that away when I do drop it I won't have to get another set then. I'm wanting...

    Tbi to carb.

Carbs are perfect for all my vehicles. I don't do any off roading, just a windy road to work that's about it. But the 72 2 door is because I own a 72 chevelle and on titles it's called a 2door. That's how the user name came up. I couldn't use Heavy Chevy as it was already taken.

    Aux tank usage?

Will the bed have to be removed in order to access it? If so I will just run the single tank until I lower the truck and build it up

    Aux tank usage?

Thank you guys. Well it really don't matter now though. I went to put fuel in it she took it then about an hour later I was stil smelling fuel real strong so I climbed under neath and the tank is wet... So I'm assuming a small hole or something. Oh well paid $500 for the truck can't complain...

    Aux tank usage?

Do I do it while it's runnibg or while key is in the off/on position? I don't want to damage anything.

    Aux tank usage?

I know this may sound stupid but how do I use the other tank? Currently I'm using the driver side tank but I would like to see if the passenger side will work too. I read the solenoid valve thing goes out commonly and would like to test it. I tried looking through the owners manual but it didn't...

    TCI Lock up kit install

Well I haven't installed the kit yet but I did pull the kick down cable off and fluid came out. I caught the fluid in a clean pan well there is little specks of brass in it. Some larger that are about the size of a peice of sand maybe a little larger. I'm worried that my transmission may be...

    Distributor plug? HEI

I'm curious as to what this plug is for. I have never seen a HEI with one of these. It's on a 1986 lwb C10. 305/350. Is it important? Such as if this distributor ever goes out will I be able to use another standard HEI that won't have this plug?

    TCI Lock up kit install

Thank you for responding Val. Mine did work off the ecu but due to it going over to carb it is all useless. I just don't understand how to wire up the solenoid nor do I know which one to change. I have read there are two switches that look just about the same and it's one of those. Lol.

    TCI Lock up kit install

Hi guys if anyone is able to help me I would greatly appreciate it. I am converting my suburban from TBI to carburation and I purchased a lock up kit Summit part number TCI-376600. I'm wanting to use the vacuum switch so I don't have to mess with it ever again. It came with instructions, but for...

Has anybody converted burb rear AC to

Suburbans and Blazers ha a factory option for rear heat. It was basically a blower motor and heater core mounted to the far passenger rear corner (next to where the a/c lines come up through the floor) it's expensive to put it in if ordering the parts from LMC. Although I'm sure you could just...

    Alternator Bracket

I don't use anything but that long bar. What I use to hold the bottom pivot bolt is just a standard alt bracket like this

I've used it on longs. Never had a problem. The motor that's in the picture has a long style aluminum water pump.

    Alternator Bracket

Here's the bracket I was talking about. Just the long peice is all you will need. Just cut it a few inches shorter. I can't remember how much to cut off but if done right you cut it round the end and drill a hole for the bolt to bolt it to the top of the water pump (factory spot). It's a simple...

    Alternator Bracket

Go to your local Autozone and purchase a 1955 alternator braket. They sell them at the spectra section it's a chrome one its not expensive. It's actually designed for a generator. But anyway just get that and cut it shorter, drill a hole for it to mount and whala you have a alternator bracket...
