    Also, in the pic above, The green and yellow wires that ran to a harnest to the left of the egr. The harnest is connected to 2 vacuum lines. Can those vacuums just be capped at the harnest. Or does the vacuum effect that green and yellow wires. By the way thanks for all the help.

    OK. So I do have a lock up switch on the firewall by the brake booster separate from the tip in exactly as you all described. It had no vacuum hose to it at all. So its even worse than I thought.     Also, the mixture control solenoid on the front of the Q-jet has only one wire connected. The other is cut short. Can the wire cut short be just a ground? Would that solenoid also hurt my idle or does the carb Function fine without it, because It has idle mixture screws as well?

    Not real sure, but the wires tie into another bunch of wires lust below the solenoid to the right, then some go thru the firewall and some go down. I will get in there and look. Either way what are the function of those you listed? Should the EGR be running vacuum to them?

    Thanks for all the help. I pulled to relay apart and one of the contacts was fused together by what looked like metal shavings not really sure what it was. But I filed it down and separated it. now the door locks work like a charm! Just have to replace the window motor
