Out of the three holes on the linkage it is in the one closest to the intake what I would say is the bottom hole. It seemed to be more responsive after I did that. I thought about moving it the other way and seeing if that's any better. Can't really hurt anything so I figure y not try it Sent...- John81287

Thanks for the input. My 305 is not stock it's bored 30 over and got an aftermarket cam. I have the specs at home so we can get more technical later if needed. Hey guys had my neighbor rebuild my edelbrock 1405 and add the electric choke to it. I know it has 12 volts but it doesn't seen to be working. Also once the truck is warm it idles nicely. Adjusted the accelerator pump to eliminate the acceleration stumble. However it bogs terribly in gear now...- John81287

Tom I live in Illinois as well. The vehicle being over 25 years old I do believe that emissions are no longer a concern. Personally I wouldn't put the cat back on either just one more thing to have to worry about . You should be free and clear to run it as is. Whereabouts in northeast Illinois...- John81287
