    Ok while i have been looking around in various threads i have seen the idea of cutting the dash to accept the later 1.5 din set up mentioned. Is it literally as easy as cutting the dash to accept a din adapter bezel and swapping to a later gauge cluster bezel? Does anyone have any pics of it...

    Hmmm i will def need to consider this mod since the dash lights in my truck suck! Are the LEDs plug and play in the clusters of these trucks? By that i mean are the old bulbs easy to remove from their holders?

    Yea i think i picked up that trick from my Turbo Dodge days, i also believe certain imports can be triggered with it as well. There was a device you could buy from Walmart and other stores that you plug into the port that does essentially the same thing as jumping the pins in the GM vehicles.

    On some cars you can trigger the code play back by cycling the key back and forth and on some you can do it by shorting pins in the diagnostic port under the dash. Once you figure out which would work on your car you can get the code by counting the number of flashes of the CEL.

    Hmmm Great thread! May have to give this a try if i cant find a decent pad in one of the many parts trucks i have access to. By cutting out the perforated areas for the corner speakers im wondering if it wouldnt be possible to fit some after market speakers in the stock corner locations now...
