What's the biggest tire size i can put on with a 1.5" lift?
Skip the lift and sawzall the fenders, then you can run 33's with no body contact. Jake- Jake_S

Anyone lower a 4x4
4-link the front with coilovers or air bags and fab a new oil pan to give the pumpkin more room to travel then 3 (or 4) link the rear and you'll be set. Easy-Peasy Jake- Jake_S

I couldn't agree with you more. Factory steelies and Squares are great combo. I wish GM used wider wheels for the 8 lugs. 6.5" is a bit narrow. Jake -

My 84 K20 needs tires, but I am looking for a set of these wheels before I get new tires. 17x7.5 8 lug steelies from Dodge Ram (2003-2012) I like the way steel wheels look on the square's but Chevy did not provide us with much choice with the 8 lugs. Jake -

I personally have issues with wide tires and skinny rims. I feel that having the sidewall bulged out too far is asking for debris damage, either on the trail or on the road. Just my $.02 Jake -

77K20 has a good point. The stock steel wheels (16x6.5) are really to narrow for 265/75's, though there are people with the newer 16x6.5 alloys running 285/75's without issue. I personally wouldn't do it. Jake -

245/75/16's are equivalent to 31x10 and 265/75/16's are equivalent to a tall 32x11. Without more info regarding your truck input will be very limited. Jake -

As promised, here are the pics Stock setup Intake and valve covers off. Cleaned a crap load of carbon that was in the valley. Performer intake and Accell distributor installed Holley 600 carb, Air cleaner, JEG'S 8mm wires and new hoses Jake- Jake_S

84 K20 is getting new intake, carb and distributor
This weekend my painfully bone stock K20 (former farm truck) is getting some upgrades. I'll install the Performer intake, Holley carb and Accell distributor that I removed from my 85 Burban before I sold it. While I'm removing factory equipment the (what appears to be) the original heater hoses...- Jake_S

What have you done to your square lately??
Cut off about 4lbs of bailing twine that was wrapped around both axle tubes on the rear and on the driver side front axle. Farm trucks are always good for finding the odd ball surprise. Jake -
14 SF 6-lug Axle for 73-87, what is the best option
The square 3/4 tons came with either a 14FF or 14SF (depending on the year and options), D44/Corp 10 bolt (depending on year of vehicle) and all are 8 lugs. As stated above the 6 lug 14SF came in various 88-98 models, and I believe they are all drum brake units. Jake- Jake_S

Removed about 5lbs of dirt from the drivers side floor and took out what was left of the sound deadening material from the driver side as well. Jake -

My brother just bought set of 285075016 Back Bones for his Dodge and 31x10.5x15 Wardens for our Pop's Ford. Both sets ride smooth and he paid the same price for both as he would have for a set of new 285/75/16. I'll get a set of 265/75/16 Claws for my K20 in a few months BTW, they used to be...- Jake_S
