kinda starting to debate what to do while not in the truck yet. kinda wanna go ahead and put 4l80e setup together before going in the truck since im planning on going with some mods and a sc. or do you guys think a built 60 will hold?
not in truck yet. working 7 days a week/12hr days. won't be anymore disappointed than the 350 that was in there. i plan on heads, cam, intake, and supercharger so getting it moving shouldn't really be a problem.
pulled the trigger on it. getting 5.3 with engine, tranny, harness, ecu, gas pedal fans, fuse box, intake, maf, exhaust to cat, tranny cooler, alternator, starter, and then some for 1400.
so the 350 is pooping out (rod knocking). i've been working a lot of overtime and feel it's time to upgrade. here the low down... its going in a c20 rwd crew cab. i don't want a "track truck". something that can get me from a to be reliably, but also able to easily get on the highway, and be...
ive got it posted up for 2k right now some places.
if it doesnt sell for that with all the extra
body peices and 5lug swap, then im gonna
probly just go ahead and rebuild
the motor
just looked at wiring from rear driver side across to passenger side under the bed. all i can say is wow. there's wires stripped here, spliced together there (without even electrical tape, i'm talking just twisted together) its a big clusterfkk under here.
where is signal switch located? i guess i'll have to find time next weekend to figure it out. the inspection is the only the remaining in making this thing legal!
changed bulb, and nothing. also cut off socket from spare truck i have and hardwired it into this truck (after cutting the other socket out) and nothing...
my pass rear blinker is not working. it lights up with the headlights, but doesn't come on with the blinker. all other turn signals work. any ideas? its on a 84 c20.
6.750" or 8"? its on a stock 350, not looking to put any real power in it, just intake, 600cfm carb, header, exhaust, maybe cam. the truck is going to be bagged using front dropmember, so would the 8" become a clearance issue?
thanks
after getting all the crap that was loading in the bed out, it looks like the floor will need to be replaced. so, the bed and the cab, are gonna end up be for grabs for anyone needing something off them for patch spots, or scrap metal, or whatever. i'm gonna keep the frame for possible later use.
gotcha. i planned on keeping the frame in case i ever decide to do a swb, i can start with a full frame off restore. the cab i'll more than likely just give away, minus the doors probly.
