    Also one thing to note be careful building up your top end with out paying attention to the bottom end. Don’t want to throw parts at it only to blow out the bottom end. That’s worse than being back at square one.

    I'd vote to just pull the engine alone. Especially since it's 4x4 now you'll have a transfer case as well to finagle up and out. More parts to mess with more headache.     Th350 problems after engine swap

    Same happened to my '87 ended up being the fluid level was low. Cold the fluid was in the half mark. It after warming up there was nothing on the dipstick. Probably doesn't matter since it just controls shift points but make sure he vacuum modulator is hooked up.
