    Can see the pump spinning with the belt on. I think I cam rule out the thermostat. I believe it's opening since I can get coolant to bleed through the thermostat housing and there'd only be coolant flowing there with the t stat open. Coolant out hose is also hot.

    Wanting to lower my 78 short box as well. Will 2" McGaughys spindles make the wheels rub on the lower control arms? Thinking a 2" spindle with drop coils should hopefully get me where I want to be without rubbing on anything.

    Thanks. Yeah that's the plan for now until I gather enough parts to freshen up the bezel. Whoever had it before me threw in a cheapo radio so that's got to go too. There's only a Wal-Mart speaker box shoved behind the seat so that's going too. I'll need to plan out where to put my new speakers...

    Great input! I didn't think about the rear end yet...or frame strength. I'm half tempted to see where the front end would sit with it installed before I go throw money at drop spindles and then have it sitting too low. Although drop spindles and k series springs might be the way to go...
