    Thank you everybody, I started it cold and it jumps right up to 30 PSI, SO, I am going to get a remote gauge to check it and if it is more PSI on that gauge I will try a new sending unit. I will update my findings. Thanks

    No i don't think it is bent. That is one of the 1st things that I looked at because I know that is a common problem with our square body trucks. Just looks higher towards the back. I can take a couple pictures and post them in a couple of hours.

    Frame support brackets

    Yup, but really that is the only rusted through part on the truck besides the fuel tank door. I am thinking that I might need to get one of my metal fabricator buddies to just make me a mount that I can bolt in place. I have searched everywhere for replacement frame pieces, but I don't find any.

    I am going to fix it up so that it will be a clean truck. It will not be in the mud much. Just want it to be a Sunday cruiser and a truck that I can go to Lowes or Home depot and pick things up in etc. It probably won't leave the pavement very much. Don't really need it to pull anything.

    I will ask another question that might solve this too. What about swapping out the SM456 for a TH400 or TH350 automatic? In order to do the swap from manual to auto would I need to change the transfer case? Sorry for all the questions, I am new to old classic trucks lol. Thank You.
