    That's kind of what I was getting at. I put that linkage on the outside of the module. I vaguely remember discussing this with my transmission builder which may be why there was a longer stud on there, to go through the 4L60E module and allow the shift linkage to work as well.

    I had to modify my forward bracket because of where my tank ended up on the frame. It sits where the frame is cut up above the axle. Just cut the ends off, relocate them up a bit and add to braces on both sides, like this:
