    Rally Wheels 15x8 5x5 Lug - 1979 C10

These are restored Chevy Rally wheels from a 1979 C10. Wheels were just blasted and powder coated argent silver. Didn't get them mounted or used yet. All original trim rings and center caps from 1979. None of the plastic eBay stuff. All polished and looking good. The rings and caps have some...

Definitely gonna start a thread for it. Probably start it with picking it up and updates on the road back before I start making it mine. Excited to get started. Lots of ideas in my head. But mostly want to make it stock. A driver grade resto.

Already did. Set it up with the seller and a tire shop. The new tires were installed yesterday!

Yeah, that is what I think is smartest. Gonna have ratchets and wrenches and screwdrivers. Gonna pick up extra fluids and maybe a fuel pump just in case. I would be more confident in it if I had time to go through it. But I am literally flying in and driving home. Once I have some time to go...

I'll look for it. Thank so much man. I am pretty new to the group here, but everyone has been so great. So much better than the other forums I have been a part of. So often they have nothing but egos and snarky comments. This whole forum has been great to me.

It is in Des Moines. Will be heading through St. Louis, Nashville, and Atlanta all on the way home.

Only if you go to shops that have silly things like insurance, and phone numbers. If you tire guy is named Phil and his "shop" is a metal shed from Home Depot.....he is usually cool with trying the wide boys.

I have 7" wides on my GMT400 and am running 31x10.5 and they look great. Could go a little wider, but they the sidewalls will get a little iffy to me. Haha.

Thanks. Yeah, I am gonna start there and see how it drives. I have 1400 miles to go the first couple days, so I can adjust along the way if I want.

    Replace idiot lights with gauges.

Yeah, I think I have decided to live with what I have for a bit and keep a look out for what I want. At some point I'll be able to find it without spending ALL the money. Haha.

Yeah, I think you are right. I paid for a carry on, and am gonna fit everything I can in there that is less than 7 inches, and stop by harbor freight before I leave to pick up what I can't bring.

    Seat Trim

Looking at recovering the seats in my 77 C20 Burb. The backs are in great shape but the bottom seat portion is getting tore up. Only has 2 rows right now, but going to pick up a third row from Old Classic Truck Parts. All benches. I would like to find the same material or something else period...

    Those are nice looking gauges.

Yeah, I looked. 7" is the limit. So I could take a set of sockets and ratchets that are 1/4" for sure. Don't think I have a 3/8 that is that short. I could take one of my old ones and lop the end off of it to make it fit though. May do that and bring my little go box that I keep in my current burb.

We have a a great yard in town. They have an early 70s C10 coming in this week. Can’t wait to go attack it. Super comfortable with the wiring. Have done a lot of it over the years. Seems pretty straight forward as I research it. I am gonna keep looking at my local yards till I find one that...

That's what I figured I'd do. Run a chalk test and see how they are around 50 on all 4 and adjust from there. Then I'll drive and see how it feels tweak it at my stops along the way. By the time I get home I should have it dialed in.

Thanks. Just never run pressures like this. My current Burb, and all my past ones were all 1/2 ton, so I was never running tires like this or had the payload this one does.

I need to make sure they put in high pressure stems too don’t I?
