    Supposedly GVWfor the blazer is around 5000 pounds. CK5 has the weight listed around 4000 pounds. Not sure it is in a salvage auction so I'm hoping I can get it for cheap.

    yeah according to the rear diff codes we have on here my rear end is listed as a 3.40

    well right now I'm looking at getting a LQ4 and a 4L80E to put into the blazer. So really right now the only variable I can really play around with is the tire size.

    no I asked this question because I'm building a 2wd K5 Blazer and the only thing set in stone is my rear gear ratio of 3.40 in the 12 bolt that is in the frame. I'm also wanting to put a 4L80E in it.

    well the van I'm looking at was hit in the rear high up on the passenger cargo door. So I can't think of any way the engine and transmission would get damaged. As for using the rear end out of a truck I would do something like that if my frame I have wasn't a 12 bolt with 3.40 gears.
