    Thanks Hot Rod.. You guys are more knowledgeable than I am on this issue. I don't think I'll be doing much racing. Just want a good sounding engine with some more power than what I have now. Pamon doingsome camping this summer and want to take my K5 anywhere.

    Yeah freshly rebuilt and its bored. It has a 9.5to1 compression. Theywere goingto use it ina Chevy pickup but that never came thur..So he's selling it. I thought it would be fun. I have a 454 big block in mine already but it's not done up..

    Ok I got a little bit more info on the engine. It's a two bolt the guy says it willbolt up to my housing that 4 or 2 bolt right up. It's a 1969 chevelle bolt with pre-emissions closed chamber heads.. what doyou guys think..?

    When I put the wheels back on I then thought I should off bought new shiny lug nuts too. I'll have to make a trip to the store later and also give the drums a new coat of paint. Hopefully it stops there....

    HotRodPC you should look into some stuff called Plasti-dip. Its basically colored rubber paint in a can. Comes in different colors and all you have to do is spray a base white coat then the color. The wife wants me to do her vehicle with that.

    The wheels were painted black when I got the vehicle and after a while the black paint was chipping off. So I decided to touch them up. Sanded them down a bit before spraying them with engine enamel black, with a coat of clear on them. Not perfect but for the cold conditions and painting them...

    Man I'm having just about the same issue with my carb 7.4l when warm. Cold starts fires right. So would these suggestions be the same with mine? I'm guessing they are. So I want to do this with the engine warm, right?
