    Thanks for the advice, guys! I swear the symptoms started again yesterday. Gonna try the starter blanket. Not sure the clearance from the headers, but it's certainly tight. & the headers leak from near the tail of them where all 4 pipes meet. May be causing more heat in there.

    What trans is that? What are the advantages? I have a K25, 350/465, myself. Only seen 1 & it's Next door to my dads...70s C/K 30/35 crew/dually/454. Truck is scrap, but buried behind a barn. Yaaaa. :p
