    1985 K20 I forgot i used my tractor with a log boom and 4 straps to take the bed of and back on it was a little trickey but made it work, dont forget to unhook the electric, taillight brake line clips .

    Big block running hot. Can’t figure out the issue

    I have had an 85 3/4 ton since new has a 350 motor.Mine was runnning a little hot ,flushed the radiator twice and put a new GM Radiator cap and it helped a lot.

    Driveshaft too short after lift?

    Power steering too slow?

    Mine had a lot of slop in the steering Changed the power steering fluid and it made a world of difference. Hate to admit it but i have had my K20 for 40 years and i never changed the Power steering fluid only added to it all those years.

    Do I need different gears with 33” tires and 4” lift

    My 85 K20 manual has 44 swampers on it with stock gears.It is just a 3 speed now i guess ,dont go over 40 mph anyway.It is just a wax and make a beer run on Sunday truck.Had it since new and it never gets dirty anymore.Name on the side of the truck is Reverent Black.     4.1 mpg?

    Do not feel too bad my 85 K20 with stock 350 and de-smoked only gets 5 or 6 mpg.3" body lift ,5 suspension with cut out fender flares and 44" super swampers When it was new it got 16 mpg.Pushing them tires mpg went way down.

    Taillights & blinkers driving me nuts. Not sure what else to check

    I am not an expert just restoring my 85K20 i bought new.Had a simular problem it was the turn signal swithch inside the steering wheel. If affects more lights than just the blinkers. Replaced it and everthing worked fine.Just a thought not sure if this has anything to do with your problem.
