    damn oil burning

I agree, it sounds like it's valve guides or seals. Like 82chevy350 said, if it were piston rings, it'd smoke like a chimney while you drove down the road.

What's the most dangerous tool in your shop?

If I would've gotten it on tape, it'd probably be worn out by now from me watching and rewinding, watching and rewinding. LOL

What's the most dangerous tool in your shop?

That's nothing, my neighbors 24 year old son caught his twig and giggle berries on fire when he dropped the oxy/acetylene torch in his lap when he was welding one day while wearing shorts. :Whoa: Of coarse I had to laugh at the site of him running around pounding on his nuts while he...

I want to get this done

You could probably talk to someone at Stockton Wheels. They might be able to widen your Rally's for you, but I imagine it'd be damn expensive.

    I have a 73 c30 crew cab dually..

There's a couple of guys on CK5 that have done the Cummins swap into a K5 Blazer and a Suburban. From what they said, it wasn't too hard of a swap. So :grd:

I know, I was just kidding too. I'll post up some pics in the AM. Just don't expect a very pretty car because you'll be dissapointed. :)

    frame question

I knew about the sheet metal being different from 73-80 and 81-87, but I was saying that I wasn't 100% sure about the frames being different. I've actually thought about swapping a 73 or 74 front clip onto my 88 Sub, but like you said, it's not easily swapped and I have much more I want to do...

    frame question

IIRC, the only difference between the two frames would be at the front on the frame horns where the front bumper mounts. I believe the 73-80 trucks with the flat nose were different from the 81-87 trucks. I'm sure that somebody will chime in and say if I'm wrong or not because I'm just not...

Thanks a lot, now I have to figure out how to get drool out of my keyboard. That's a beautiful motor you have in your truck!

Welcome! And I hope the poor guy you ran over was ok. :D

    Another from WV

I like the stance of your truck. I'm slowly convincing the Mrs. that our Suburban needs to be lifted 4-6" for added safety on the trail and stability on the street. As you can probably imagine, it hasn't worked yet.

    Sound System Show-Off

X2 on the kick panel speakers. That whole system looks killer.

    Hello from Montana

I'll get some pics up tomorrow. I just got my computer back from the Dr. and I lost all of my old info and pics, (thank god I backed them up!) It's amazing what 11,000 viruses will do to your 'puter!

    Yup, I'm registered here, too!

I like the desired outcome pic. I had a 78 GMC 4x4 that was the same color as that and it looked awesome all shined up.

    Hello from Montana

Hello all! My name is Dan and I just found out about this site from another GM site so I thought I'd check it out. I'm originally from Reno Nv. but I moved to Montana 6 years ago and I'm glad I did. I met my wife here and we have a 20 month old daughter and both of them are my life. Since I...
