    I'm baaack!!

You make a good point, I have a Radeon ATI 9000 graphics card in it that I could probably sell to a friend........but it would just be soo much fun to blow the damn thing to hell with my 1911.

    I'm baaack!!

Normally I would agree with ya, but the old computer is 7 years old and I can't even get the darn thing to start. It gives me the blue screen of death and tells me that windows can't start and it automatically shuts off. It won't even let me start it in safe mode to try and clear it. The...

    I'm baaack!!

LOL....it wasn't just the fact that I couldn't sign in, it was the 1248 viruses and 38 spyware and malware programs that gave my poor ole' Dell the dreaded "BLUE SCREEN of DEATH!!!". I'm going to install some 230 grain FMJ .45ACP rounds to help it along to the happy computer grounds in the...

    Good Deal

I spent a lot of money @ Folbeck 4wd when I was younger and had my 86 K-10. There was another 4x4 shop on the corner of Rock Blvd and Glendale years ago that I used to go to as well but I forgot the name of it. IIRC, the guys in there were a bunch of dicks though.

    I'm baaack!!

Hey all! After a short time off with work, a dead computer and family life, I'm finally back! My computer wouldn't let me sign on a few sites, (this one included), so the Mrs. and I just bought a brand new one last weekend with our tax money. She also let me but my 4" Rough Country, (all...

    Bvllsh!t on craigslist.

I'd rock that, but then again I love cars that other people overlook. You will never see me wanting a Mustang or Camaro, too common. Has anybody seen the Blue Collar Buick on Muscle Car TV? Looks pretty good except for the 20" wheels.

Squarebodies WAY south of the border.

No wonder they deal in cocaine so much, you'd have to be high as a kite to like one of those pices of shit. :signs16:

auto to manual conversion in a R10 need help

I've never had a 4x4 with an automatic tranny before my K5 and now the Sub but I have to say, as my left knee gets worse and worse and I creep closer and closer to surgery, it sure is nice to have one. I agree that a manual is great for offroad and if I were more motivated, not to mention more...

    Square Body Burb Tribute

Having had a K5 in Reno and now a square Suburban, I prefer a Sub. I can haul my crap around and sleep in the back when the Zombies attack and we have to bug out. :gr_guns:

    Wasted a day.....

My g-pa always used a quart of tranny fluid in with the oil for a noisy lifter. He said there's a lot of detergents in tranny fluid and he swore it cleaned the motor out every time.

Broke and Bored ? Emblem Enhancement !

Well I did get a "before" pic afterall. This is what the emblems looked like before I painted them. I still think it's much better now.

Broke and Bored ? Emblem Enhancement !

No shit! It took 2 years of being a good boy and sacrificing before my wife even entertained the idea. I figure I'll just buy it one day and test the comfort of the Sub that night when bedtime comes around. It'll be a mini-camping trip!

Broke and Bored ? Emblem Enhancement !

Depends on the trail. You can get hung up on some rocks pretty easy because of the rear overhang, but I don't plan on taking Fillmore up the Rubicon either. And with a 4" lift and 35's, I know I can clear most of the obstacles on the trails I want to explore. And when I say trails, I really...

Broke and Bored ? Emblem Enhancement !

Yeah, it's the family hauler, but I also go hunting in it and I'd like to be able to find some new trails and maybe some secluded camping areas and do some weekend exploring with the family. I'm not big into tearing up a rig so I don't really go hog wild on nasty trails. Besides, the Mrs. gets...

Broke and Bored ? Emblem Enhancement !

Thank you all! It is fun to freshen things up a bit even though I know that when I lift this piece of pig iron and join the local 4x4 club it might not hold up too well. And to be honest, I'm a firm believer of building a very capable offroad rig that can cruise the strip and look good doing...

Broke and Bored ? Emblem Enhancement !

Yeah, I'm pretty happy with it. I know that a lot of emblems had a splash of color in them and this may not seem like a big deal to some, but to me it saved me from tearing my hair out and running into the hills. It's the small victories in the war of fatherhood that matter the most.

Broke and Bored ? Emblem Enhancement !

So, what do you do when you're completely broke and bored shitless and you have great weather to work in? You improvise! I was walking around the Suburban the other day looking over the paint and it's flaws and I was cleaning up some areas when I noticed that my Sierra Classic emblems looked...

Pictures of my Nova and the troubles it caused me today

Don't modify that Nova and put a touring suspension on it!! I have a 72 Ventura II, (same body style as your Nova), and I replaced every piece of my suspension and steering in 2005. I put new front and rear springs in it, new poly-urethane bushings, ball joints, center link, etc. and it rides...

    Battery Problems in '09 GMC

I wouldn't worry too much about it. You can get a new battery that has a bad cell in it and not last you a year. Then again, you can get lucky like my dad and buy a brand new 1995 F-150 and replace the battery 15 years later like he just did. If it happens again, I'd suspect a problem like a...

    1972 Pro Street Nova

No, it's a Nevada car. But even here in Montana they don't rust up. We don't salt our roads up here. Hell, they rarely sand the roads for that matter. Besides, I only drive it in the winter if my Suburban is down for the count. Ice covered roads at -30* in that car is dicey at best and...

    1972 Pro Street Nova

Well my Ventura has 69,876 original miles on it. I have the original bias ply spare, every registration tag from 1972 until present day, ALL work orders for regular maintenance and both owners manuals. I even have the original dealer key tag. I just wish my gramps would've been more focused...
