    My 1991 v1500 suburban

Thanks bud, great info. I am constantly looking for axles in my spare time online and at parts yards when I think about it. I will keep my eyes open but that is some good info. Im think 4 inch max and no larger the 34s so maybe stock will work since it will mainly be used for camping surf...

    My 1991 v1500 suburban

Thanks, crossover from what I have read would make it stronger and help reduce steering related issues and wheel travel/wander so I may go that route guess it will depend on if I can find a decent 2wd box for a affordable price. Might use the drop arm first as I know they are fairly inexpensive

2 in body lift for 35s?

tranny swaps look hard to me...but I know you all have a lot more experience with that than I do....would a diesel swap lower rpms? just curious. my 2500HD when I had it I think had 3.73 and ran 315/70/17 tires (34.8) while I did tune it down the road I am fairly certain when stock the...

    What was your first Vehicle?

Datsun 280zx, not this specific one but like it, was in a brownish color, ugly as sin, don't remember the year though I want to say 86. hah my parents gave it to a guy who painted our house and I ended up with an s10 blazer afterwards...then it has been multiple things since then.

    Military axles

the d60 14bolt combo from what I have read is the preferred swap into most of the square bodies due to the fairly simple swap, the 60 will likely require some mods and the 14 from what I have read depending on year and model may require new mount for shocks and leafs to welded. While I don't...

Can someone explain to me why I would switch over to a 2wd Steering box when I lift this? I keep reading about it. I was planning on getting the ORD brace and arm but figured I might as well put on the 2wd box while I am at it if I need to. I don't want to get the jeep shaft though if it wont...

Yeah I get what your saying, kind of like the Molle set ups I see online. The DUHA bins are cool too, I was going fab something up before putting everything back in my suburban since its gutted currently. I like the idea that my sidearm is with me up front but I want something inconspicuous...

maybe im wrong, but going through RPOs I saw this is a 3.42 rear??? if so im not happy, I thought it was definitely a 3.73. is fo I guess I might as well go FF 14 bolt with 4.10 now and D60 front.
