Idles Rough when AC is on
I got a kit. My local shop installed it. Included new AC-Delco Compressor, Hoses, etc. Complete Kit was $395. Cost $200 bucks to get it installed. 4 Cans of R134a was extra. Works fantastic. Nice and cold even in this Tennessee heat.- DesertBob

1g80 locking differential
My 1985 K20 has an RPO Code 1G80 Locking Differential in the 14bolt SF rear axle. Is this any good? Anything special I need to do when I change the gear oil? Thanks- DesertBob

No wire that I can see. Just converted eveything to r134a about 3 weeks ago. AC ran before but ran warm and the compressor was leaking oil so I converted everything including the compressor to new r134a stuff. How many miles does your rig have?
1985 153,000 miles - Orginal Motor, Transmission, Transfer Case, etc. Just replaced the original waterpump. Still running strong with the usual oil leaks. I think it needs a new main seal. When the original clutch goes I will replace it, the main seal, and oil pump. Should be good for...- DesertBob

Mine had a twitchy idle and I adjusted the mixture screws using the Vacuum Gauge method and it now idles smooth as silk. Based on what I see I think this truck is all original. Was owned by an older gent who took really good care of the truck. I spent the better part of a Saturday replacing Vacuum lines, belts and other items. All still had their GM part numbers and marks.- DesertBob
