Anybody make a 2.5 inch Dual exhaust kit?

Chunkier with true duals is a good way to describe it, I agree. I think the H just balances the pressure on all cylinders making the motor run more balanced which is where the benefits come in. The kit comes with two exit choices: 90 degree for exit just behind the rear wheel well and 45...

Anybody make a 2.5 inch Dual exhaust kit?

The J-Bends in the kit nicely fit around the 4L80E and NP241 off of a set of full length headers. I'm not gonna lie, I didn't think they were gonna work without modification but they did and there wasn't a whole lot of room on the passengers side so the fact that it was a universal kit was...

moving 4x4 shifter to driver side.

I think they make cable kits for a variety of t-cases now. Might be the easiest way to move it where you want. Otherwise you'd have to fab some kind of shaft with linkage over the top of the t-case

Anybody make a 2.5 inch Dual exhaust kit?

Huh...twice as much? I wonder if they don't do 2.5-inch setups that often so their cost on the bigger tube is higher...or they don't do many and they're trying to pay for the dies. Seems the difference should only be a hundred. Seems don't look bad in moderation if you weld them (nice...

Anybody make a 2.5 inch Dual exhaust kit?

The 2.5-inch kits at Summit - http://www.summitracing.com/parts/flo-15936 The 3-inch kit - http://www.summitracing.com/parts/flo-15937 I used this S-bend kit to work around the 30-gal rear tank (I believe I needed to use the 8-inch offsets) - http://www.summitracing.com/parts/flo-15927 Added...

Anybody make a 2.5 inch Dual exhaust kit?

Well, I added an x-pipe and 40-series Flowmasters behind full length headers and 9:1 454. First time with an X-pipe and hard to describe the sound. It's loud but not as loud as I thought it would be. It does sound good though, just a little more hollow (?) and smooth than I expected. I think...

Anybody make a 2.5 inch Dual exhaust kit?

Flowmaster does (mandrel). 2.5" and 3". I used the 3" on a '74 K20 and it worked very well.

    installing after market guages

There's a couple easier ways to get where your'e trying to go. From a previous post, here's how you can mount them in your stock dash. Recessed gauges: http://73-87.com/7387garage/interior...s_recessed.htm Surface mounted: http://73-87.com/7387garage/interior/gauge_surface.htm Obviously...

Windstar fan - plug and wiring questions

Seems like I encountered something like this a handful of years ago on a Taurus fan install but I can't for the life of me remember the problem. An easy test would be to check resistance when cold, then over 200 (should read 0 ohms), then recheck after the fans come (wire in a toggle switch to...

Windstar fan - plug and wiring questions

Now way it's getting that different of a reading. A few degrees maybe. How are the other switches (Toyota) wired in?

    Electric Fans

I've always used 180's in my 454's too and never had a problem. Did dabble once with a 190 on a friends suggestion but switched it back within the week...it was like it took too long to open and the system just couldn't get it back (was towing at that moment and may not had given the 190 much...

Windstar fan - plug and wiring questions

Suppose it could just be a bad sending unit. With the sender being so close to the gauges sending unit it seems unlikely that they're seeing different temps. Can you shoot a pic of your setup?

    F-350 Dana 60 Front Axle

I can't see your sig line from Tapatalk so I'm not sure if the plan is a swap into a chevy or not so I'll assume that's the intent. The 78-79 Ford Dana 60's will work on a Chevy. The spring perches are 1 inch wider (pin to pin) than the chevy 60's and the leafs will give enough to make it...

Windstar fan - plug and wiring questions

I've tried a couple of different combinations on a previous project and found similar results as your 176/166 switch. What also seems to make a big difference in getting it right is where the switch is located. I've tried the radiator (upper and lower tank), the head, and the intake. What I...

    Constant power for new radio?

:Big Laugh: And I did the same thing with it wired correctly. I had a truck that allowed me to pull the key out when it was in the accessory position so I'd turn on the radio, pull the key, and do whatever it is kids do in parking lots. With the key out certain trouble with the authorities...

    Electric Fans

If airflow if adequate for cooling the motor (like on the freeway or at night), sending units will sense it and turn off the fan and your alternator and the fan itself will get a break. I tried always on in my jeep and while it worked, it's also ran when I didn't need it (when it was cool or...

    Constant power for new radio?

The constant power for modern radios is for the clock and memory features (like saving your programmed radio stations). It uses an extremely small amount of battery to do so and won't drain a battery for quite some time (many, many months if not longer). You won't be able to listen to the...

Windstar fan - plug and wiring questions

I'll check the dealer. I hate going to parts departments because sometimes you get someone who's useless now a days. I suppose I could make a plug if need be but was hoping to just order it and be done. I will wire through relays. I haven't figured out the triggers yet but my EFI can control...

What parts can I swap from Dana 44 to GM 10 bolt?

The benefits of the 44 do truly out weigh the cost of a refresh if the differences are valuable for how you use the truck. The primary difference is the inner shafts. They neck down after the seal surface and are prone to break at that spot. The ring gear is negligibly weaker on the 10-bolt...

What parts can I swap from Dana 44 to GM 10 bolt?

Spindles and hubs are likely different. The 8-lug stuff uses a larger inner bearing. Backing plates might be slightly different to but both will work. Other than that, it's all the same. Been a few years.
