    how to aligne panels perfectly

These trucks NEVER had perfect body gaps like the newer vehicles. You can get them close but not perfect. If you want them perfect you are going to have to make them perfect by welding up or removing metal, a long and tedious task. Never heard of aligning the cab. You need to make sure the...

need help from someone who has painted their vehicle.

I would suggest that you practice on some old body panels and use the cheap Dupli-Color Paint shop paint. Start out with the solid colors and progress thru the metallic and candys. http://www.duplicolor.com/products/psFinishSystem/ Good score on the kit. I have about 200.00 in paint...

need help from someone who has painted their vehicle.

I used this gun setup. http://www.tcpglobal.com/spraygundepot/tcpgate.aspx The 1.8 for primer and the 1.4 for the top coat. I used the paint manufactures suggested mix ratio of harder, reducer and paint. Reducers are based on outside air temp, a good auto paint supplier in your area will be...

    fuel tank questions

It does not matter about the roll pan. You can move the brace on either bolt or weld. You just need to make sure you don't move the brace so much that it interfears with the pan. You need all the parts in place and meausre for a tank. If you have a buddy who is a master welder just drop the...

Guage cluster acting up in 1985 Chevy

Is the replacement cluster an exact replacement from the same year and optioned truck? IE did your old cluster have warning lights and you replaced it with a cluster with gauges. Did you get the cluster connector when you got the other gauge cluster? Different year clusters have different wiring...

    Found on eBay Listings

The radio, tail lights and stock valve covers scream shortcuts. Makes me wonder what other shortcuts lie under the paint. Why would you put that much chrome under the hood and run stock valve covers. Other than the lights and the crappy corvette style roll pan I like the outside but the interior...

starter and oil pressure issue :(

I suggest you get a aftermarket oil and temp gauge setup. The oil promblem your describing sounds really weird. If you put a 195 stat in and the gauge never gets above that reading it would mean that the stat never opens and you are not getting water flow thru the engine which I highly doubt...

    fuel tank questions

My short step has a 20 gal fuel cell mounted between the rails. It's close and if you want more you may need a custom tank. Mine is going to be filled thru the bed. Let me know how that goes. You can do this but sit down before you click the link...

Ive always wonder how long those little ricer four bangers hold up pushing all that boost and nitrous. If I had the cash this is what would be going into my project. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/nal-cpslsa4l85e/overview/

starter and oil pressure issue :(

The first issue sounds like starter heat soak or a loose ground or power wire but my money is on the heat soak. How old is the starter? On the second issue is that a factory oil pressure gauge or aftermarket? Are you saying that the truck has pressure when cold and once it warms up it has...

    Pioneer Stereo

Yes except find one that is controlled by the ignition switch so the CB will not always be on and drain your battery.

    Pioneer Stereo

I would not advise it. You could overload the wire and pop the fuse or in the worst case cause a melt down or fire. Safest thing to do is to give the CB a dedicated switched 12v from the fuse box.
