He has the right of it. They set it on there and find the match. And will give you the generation / year it was used. That’s how I matched my color on my Truck ( wasn’t a GM color when I got it ) And it is SPOT on

    Warped drums

Got the shoes on right? There’s a front shoe and a back shoe. One has a larger contact area than the other. i THINK the larger one goes toward the rear of the truck. But it’s been a while. you also gotta lube the contact points of the shoes to the backing plate so they can slip back. post...

    Warped drums

Sounds like you’re setting them too tight. But honestly, I’m having a hard time understanding your writing. If a drum is turned it’s no longer warped. That’s the point of turning. If you have new drums, freshly turned and the problem persists. You have a different problem.

    Bed floor rubber mat

This one is for a square. But it’s a long bed? Would it be as simple as cutting the area closest to the tail gate?

    Driver Side Alternator?

If the hole isn’t needed. I’d tap it to whatever the next size is and put some blue form a gasket on a short bolt and sinch it down. Let it set up for 12 hours fill her and run it. plenty of bolts and plugs done this way.

    Full Suspension Rebuild Parts List

This can get crazy few variations over the years d44 hubs had small and large bearings, tREs and drag link changed a bit over the years too. you mention bearings so I mentioned axles but one could debate if it’s “suspension work.” you want suspension , axle, and steering part #s?

    Window issues

I too would try the lube move. But it’s not uncommon for these motors to give up the ghost. I’d do the relay mod to get more power to them AND swap motors. They get so abused with the low power setup they had. All the strain goes on the motor. I swapped the motor on my driver side and installed...

Giving rusty parts a smooth clean paintjob?

A cup brush for the angle grinders. Won’t get rid of pitting tho. There isn’t really a solution for that. Besides filling it In one way or another. Wear Saftey glasses with these, doesn’t matter how cool you are. These things do damage. You’ll find wire in your underwear later if doing it in...

    live and learn AGAIN (Brakes)

Gummed up and bad tolerance are two totally different issues. If it was a bad tolerance a little cleaning isn’t going to fix anything. my guess is your lines were dirty and you sent some shit into the cylinder. Rubber line at the T breaks down sometimes and brake line rust is notorious in...

    What's a 93 Chevy 4x4 Stepside short box worth ?

Those are the same prices roughly for California in the Central Valley. Anywhere from 900 for a runner all the way up to 5k for a clean example. steppers are slower to sell but the picture is important.

    Double Din Radio

I hear ya. But the dash cages are a dime a dozen at my pick n pull. If I wanted one like that I’d do it. I personally prefer the motorized flip outs. I like the way mine covers the ac controls when not in use. provides all the info I need while driving.

What have you done to your square lately??

Those look sexy. Mine uses the stock xmember. It’s causes my exhaust to drop below the frame in that spot but the rest is nice n tucked. But I really wish I spent the money and bought one.

    208 the same as 203 or 205

I think he’d frown on spending the money to have the output shaft swapped but... now that I think about it. The factory 350/ 208s might have had the Longer output shaft (in the 350) any ways. It’s hard to remember without the parts here for measurements. I agree it might be better to give this...

    208 the same as 203 or 205

Sorry for your shitty day Rusty. If you have the np208 and a 350. Get the adapter for the th350 to np208. There were a few np205/ being used until like 83 or 84 (later in some HD applications ). So make sure it’s a 208. Your local JY should have them relatively inexpensive. The 700r4 one will...
