    haha dang, 406tq matched with a t350 and 4.10 gears sounds like a pullin machine. Ok so just pull the motor, ill take the heads to the local machine shop and have them freshen them up and maybe see if they will polish them a bit, then cam, intake, headers. sounds like a good enough list.

    also id deff hit jim or onelucky up on the harness but what mods realy need to be done? i don't want/need emmisions at all, maybe if the cruise could get swapped but really don't care.

    humm, yea its for the 79 which is just a work/play truck, no dragracing but just stout and pull wat ever i hook to it. and i don't like the tunning part : /

    So since im going with a th350 and have a complete donor truck, what other parts are needed? Now since im going through the trouble once the motor is pulled, i want cam, intake, headers, and ill find a set of vortec heads. Based on this list shoot me some part numbers or what to look at.

    yea was hoping jim will chime in here. a quick google search shows that a truck th350 is a direct bolt on other than the crossmeber being 5/8" off set so new holes be dilled.

    So my brother is sold on us swapping in a tbi. We have a rusted out 91 k1500 with a 350. The truck is junk but the motor was just fine untill a mouse got ahold of the wiring. Will that motor bolt up to my TH350? And since the harness is prolli mouse food anyone have a harness done up for this...

    yea the are deff free, they are out to the snaprings but thats were my slop is, the u joint has a tish of play when pushed cap to cap.

    yea, last time i swaped my driveshaft i noticed there is slight play unlike the combo joint at the rear. But how much is tomuch play? any at all?

    Well still haven't swap the yolk 180 yet but vibration is still there and annoying right smack at 55-60.

    had the same problem bud, turned out pickup coil. Bought a drop in dizzy from summit, been going strong for 4 months now not a single hickup.

    DAMIT Crazy! LOL i knew i should have flipped it cus the zerk is on the same side as the balance weight on the drive shaft. But i told my self that the weight of the zerk wouldn't be noticeable.

    huh, did not realize they needed to be aligned... so no im sure they are out of alignment. I also have that combo joint at the rear. So how should it be? just matching perpendicular?

    HR, u bring up a few things i guess i never checked, the rear leaves are like new if u remember me scoring thos but the fronts yea the bushings are a bit rough but all there and very tight when i put them in, ive had the truck aligned but tires never balanced but they were balanced when they...
