EFI Dual Tank Conversion, need help on power 4 the pumps.

So are you using two separate switches? One to control which pump is currently powered, and another to control the six port valve and fuel gauge?

So the power wires for the dual pumps aren't being routed through the selector valve? I do appreciate the help and I'm not a moron I swear lol... Electrical just doesn't click very well in my brain unless I really map it out in my head

Cool, thank you. I'm looking back a few pages at the diagram you drew for me - how do you have this wired into your fuel selector valve?

Here's a few pictures of the connector off the PF and the pump

Mine def has a connector. When I ordered my original fuel pump, I had to find a connector that matched to wire it into the pump. I'll post a picture when I get back home

Do you have any pictures of how you mounted those relays or anything? What did you do with your PF4 pigtail to get the ground? Did you cut the connector off? What did you do with the positive wire, just tape it up or something? And how did you know which of the two wires was the ground?

The output of the EFI being the two wire pigtail that is meant for the fuel pump? I'm assuming it's the same wiresninhad connected to my previous external pump that was pulling through the six port valve

And another question, because I'm trying to understand how this works. Does this setup mean that the power to both pumps is always active, but we're activating whichever pump we want to run by turning the ground off/on?

Hey buddy. So I have both my tanks installed, all the plumbing ran and everything ready to go except wiring, which I decided to attempt to tackle today. Looking at your diagram, I can just ground the two pump grounds to the frame, in the same place I grounded my senders to? I hope you or...

    Fuel tank mounting brackets

I don't know about that. I just replaced mine because I was replacing everything else anyway

    Fuel tank mounting brackets

I actually have all my lines replaced already with stainless braided, I did that last year when switching to EFI. The old steel lines are still in place, but abandoned. Thanks for the tip about the switch, too I appreciate the heads up on that

    Fuel tank mounting brackets

I dropped both of mine from underneath, brackets and all. But my bed wasn't removed. When I dry fit my new tanks into the new brackets/straps, I set the brackets/straps on the ground and dropped the tank into them from above, so guessing you may be able to wiggle just the tanks out from above...

    Fuel tank mounting brackets

Just a quick follow up in case anyone on the future lands here. I called Brothers Trucks this morning and they told me those brackets are meant to be "universal" for square bodies and are meant to be welded on. Well, if they get welded on, then there's no way to remove the tanks from the...

    Fuel tank mounting brackets

Do you know if the 81-up brackets had nuts welded onto them? My old brackets do but the new ones don't - I don't know how I'm supposed to get my hand in there to get nuts on once the tanks are in the straps

    Fuel tank mounting brackets

I am in the process of replacing my dual fuel tanks, and ordered some new mounting brackets and straps from brothers. I noticed that the brackets on the passenger side don't line up with the bolt holes, whereas the old does. This is the front passenger side only - the rear passenger lines up...

You used the weather packs for the trailer wiring? Or for the fuel pump wiring?

Cool, thanks again. I just finished getting the new tanks set up with the senders and pumps. I bought everything from Tanks, Inc. One of the reps there helped me over the phone, and recommended which pumps and senders to buy. The new tanks look almost identical to the factory tanks. The finish...

Thanks for the info! 1977 K10 with dual tanks Using the PF4 system like you said. Headers with dual exhaust out the back. My pressure regulator is mounted right at the passenger side fuel rail - I used a 90 degree AN-6 fitting right off the fuel rail and then installed the regulator directly...
