    id get it figured out quick, my old stepside had a slight vibration for a few days... then the front drive shaft broke and smashed my tranny, exhaust and also grabbed a bunch of wires that went to my fuel tank switches... it was no bueno... truck needed a new front drive shaft, new tranny...

    can you post some pics of that ignition swap? i need to do mine too... the key is hard as hell to turn on (then a pita to switch off and get the key out) and switches itself off randomly unless i keep forward pressure on the key

    exhaust manifold doesn't clear power steering pump

    i had to shim the power steering pump on my 79 long bed ... bought the truck with the pump just sitting there, unbolted with no belt attached ... ended up getting a new harmonic balancer with a belt straight to the pump ... hey whatever works lol

    im lucky, i only have to drive 2 miles to work and 7 miles to take my kids to school, not too worried about MPG at the moment lol... might look into a qjet, throttle response is always a plus

    buy it!! like I said, on this truck its one thing after another, the truck hates me! I took the valve covers off because the chrome ones were leaking like crazy... guess what i find under the valve cover?? the middle head bolt head! yep about 2" off the top of the bolt, just chillin there...
