    stuck float?

    happened to mine too, i hit it with a hammer and it freed it up and ran fine after that. I just make sure i change the filter every few months now, im guessing it was shit in my tank that made its way to the carb, i wasnt running a filter between the pump and carb until this happened

    battery, oil change, radiator installed/filled, new gas, unplug the coil, crank it over a few times, plug the coil back in and fire it up. ive pulled trucks out of fields that have sat for years, checked the oil level, put a battery in it and fired it up

    i have these d rings welded to my bumper and the hooks are bolted to the frame with two bolts. they were on the truck when i got them so i dont know if the PO drilled the holes or not

    damn! I still cant find any diagrams on the np203 shifter... i guess for now im just gonna crawl under there and stick it in 4h and leave it there till i figure it out or find a diagram. I did get the distributor back it, only to discover the stock hold down bolt wont work on the edelbrock...

    im really not sure if the np203 i put in has a part time kit or not, if it doesnt ill probably pay the tranny guy one town over to swap it in for me, i really dont want to open it up but would like the part time kit. my brother said he wanted the axles and drive train for his yoda but today...

    yeh its the top passinger side and no i dont have the piece, must of broken off when i was pulling the motor... if i can get 50-100 ill be happy, im not sure if my bro is gonna want to use the transfer case, should be worth another 100 or so right? then the bed for 150-200 and theres my 400...

    oh i noticed yesterday when i was over there taking pics, one of the 4 bolt holes that bolts the tranny to the bell housing had broken off, is this thing junk now or could someone swap the internals? is it worth anythinhg now?

    i had a long bed 4 speed a few years back, id really like to fix it up but im going to use the cab on my stepside, and go crazy on a motor when i have the funds. i had to oull the diesel motor out for the PO in order for him to let the truck go cheap, he had already pulled off the banks turbo...

    i scored today!! i helped some dude pull the diesel motor out of his 82 gmc long bed and he gave me the truck for $0! its pretty nice, 6 lug axels, 4 speed granny tranny, transfer case im not sure what it is, it doesnt look like a 203, 205 maybe? the shifter knob was gone so i couldnt tell you...

    good point, maybe ill get some new ubolts, cant be too expensive right? but the steering link should be ok right? then ill only need longer brake hoses, i hope.

    i found a guy on Cl selling the steering link, ubolts and spring plate for $20, he said it was his old stuff from his 4'' lift (which is what my springs i have sitting in the garage are supposed to be) sounds like a deal to me, what do you think?

    damn it! lol i had the old one but it was all smashed in from the driveshaft incident so i tossed it... i could of sworn i saw some where on here about putting it back together... i guess itll be a picknpull trip and hope to get lucky and find one

    transfer case went in today... was a pita but its in. i pulled the plug on 1 today and it looked like crap, i need all new plugs and wires before i even bother starting this thing.

    does anyone know where to find a diagram of how to assemble the shifter?, i took it apart to clean it and now i have no idea how to put it back together. dumb i know, i usually take pics but my hands were too greasy. thanks

    stock np203 shifter, it wasnt shifting very smooth, i took it apart and sanded all the rust and crap off and now im lost on reassembly, ive been searching for hours and i cant seem to find a diagram on it... everyone says build a double stick, but i just want to use this one, if it ever goes...

    oh and i need to swap this off the old xc onto the new one... anyone know what size nut that is? im going to need to go buy it, whatever size it is i know i dont have it. any tips on getting this thing off and will it just slide back onto the new xc. thanks if i put it in d or 1 or Reverse...
