    looking for frame dimensions

Looking for a diagram of frame dimensions, including suspension mounting points and body mount locations for an 80 K20. Anybody know where I might find them?

new to this have a few questions....

Why would you need a c clip eliminator? Replace the carrier with a quality locker, and gear it properly with good quality gears, and you shouldn't have avg issues.

Knight Rider K.I.T.T. LED Scanner Bar Build/Install Thread

Personally, I don't see the point. It's not a black Trans Am, so there goes the Knight Rider tie in, and forward facing red lights are against DOT code, so you're looking for trouble from Johnny Law... I can think of a lot better things to spend $300+ on a truck.

    proportioning valve/combo valve woes

That was going to be my suggestion. "self adjusters" don't work for Shit. My 94 has been terrible about this. At least once a year, I have to pull the drums and adjust the rear brake shoes. After that, pedal comes back up, and it will almost put you in the dash (3/4 ton rear brakes, 1/2 ton...

Newer lifted trucks have bed sag?

My dad tried talking me into pinched pipes when I was a kid. 2" duals with cherry bombs, flared out to 2 1/2", then back to 2" at the tailpipes. I went with the cherry bombs, but ran a full 2 1/2" dual exhaust all the way out the back.

    Car audio question thread!

Have you tried disconnecting the stereo? Alternator charging properly? Tested the battery? I'd suggest finding another ride, and not waiting until the last minute to figure it out next time.

How much is this truck worth?

I'd say $4000 wouldn't be out of line, but I'd be all over that body looking for anything more than a skim coat of filler. "newer" paint, especially white, is often used to hide shoddy body work

any luck with World Products or Dart heads?

Going to look then over very carefully before I commit to anything. Try and find casting numbers or marks, and also measure the valves. I've had someone try to pass off a set of heads with 1.94 valves as 2.08s, so I'm pretty reluctant to believe what anyone says when they stand to benefit from...

any luck with World Products or Dart heads?

I've got a friend who is trying to talk me into trading a set of World Products 200cfm small block cast iron heads. By my research, it looks like they're probably Sportsman IIs, but there us a chance that they're Dart Iron Eagle 200s as well. I'll actually be looking to build a mild small...

    stock height leaf springs

Nice! I'm going to have to wait a little longer, as another GMT 400 stray followed me home last night... 92 K2500 light duty (6 lug). It's got a bad trans (no reverse 700R4) and a blown head gasket. Drove it home, for what I paid, I couldn't pass it up.

Just picked up Vortec 062 heads, advice?

Ok, let me rephrase that FOR THE ENGINE IN QUESTION, torque to yield bolts are not an option. Therefore, the information is of no value to this thread.

Just picked up Vortec 062 heads, advice?

Gen I small blocks never came with torque to yield head bolts. Either way, at under $30 for a complete set from GM, it's cheap insurance. I normally replace then every time anyways.

    87 Truck High steer

Yes, actually a Dana 60 does have 10 cover bolts. Look at where you're steering arm bolts to the knuckle. 3 bolts in an arc is the Dana 44 or 10 bolt (2 different axles, but comparable in strength), if it's 4 bolts in a square pattern, it's a Dana 60
