    chev c 10 fuel problem

Oh I see. I would pull that fuel sending unit or something, and verify that the return line does not have a check valve or returns below the fuel level. I may be wrong. But I would think that it would have a check valve on it. Maybe just see if you can suck vacuum through your 1/4" rubber line...

t-case has WAY too much fluid - from tranny?

Yes the 4wd 4L80 has a rear transmission output seal and a transfer case input seal. Looks like it might not be too bad to change out. As you can se there is a return port below the seal. Not sure how this all works between the transmission and transfer case. I believe the transmission output...

    chev c 10 fuel problem

Headers wont help for sure. Does your mechanical pump have a return line?

    chev c 10 fuel problem

Did you guys block off the crossover with the restrictor plates or gaskets ? Are the tanks truly vented ? The fuel pumps should be lubed with moly based lube inside where the spring is and at the end of the push arm where it contacts the push rod. Otherwise they can fail in short order.

1989 Chevy Suburban 350 - stalls when in forward or reverse while breaks are engaged

how about the switch from the brake pedal for the transmission lock up shorting the ignition somehow. Real long shot! But possible if the wiring has been hacked up.......maybe......? I dunno that's weird dude

4L80E Rebuild - Decent price or too much?

Well if they do good work and you end up with a good 4L80 at the end then it probably is an alright price. I would check around other performance places first though. You might be surprised what you can get for that much $. It honestly doesn't cost even half of that to rebuild the transmission...

    Got a new rear end.

This is mostly true! If maintained properly and not abused they can last quite a while. But IMO I would be more comfortable with a different styled traction aid. Like say a Detroit True Trac! :)

    Got a new rear end.

IMO the disc brakes are an excellent upgrade and worth the money and effort. The only way to keep the E brake is to get Eldorado or equivalent calipers with the built in parking brake mechanism. Other wise you would have to get a drive line brake. Which to my knowledge is not DOT approved...

    Got a new rear end.

I have a two 14 SF axles with the G80 Gov Loc and they look identical to the pictures I posted. Not all G80s are Gov Locs though :) G80 is RPO for traction device not necessarily a GOV LOC

This is what a G80 GOV LOC looks like And this is what they look like when they break lol

Power Heated Mirrors with Sequential Turn Signals

That is sweet! What year Dodge rams use these heated power dumbo mirrors ? And do you have a link to the page for the stuff you got off ebay? And that is a heck of a good idea and job! Thanks for sharing! :)

    NV4500 Swap ???

Oh ok. Well the 700r4 transfer case definitely wont fit an SM465! Maybe somebody replaced the 700r4 with a TH400. That would make more sense.

    81 K30 rear spring ubolts.

Yep the saddles are fine to reuse. You just need the u bolts and nuts and washers

    81 K30 rear spring ubolts.

Get the bolts from where you got the springs! Any spring shop can make you custom or stock bolts on the spot! Stay with the style you have. There is a reason all the new trucks use that style. It clamps the spring to the axle better!

    NV4500 Swap ???

You must have had a different transfer case heh? To fit the 32 splines of the SM465?
  20. M

    NV4500 Swap ???

The NV4500 uses a 32 spline rear output shaft. So only 79-85 205s with a circular 6 bolt pattern will work. The circular 6 uses 32 splines where as the race track figure 8 uses 10 splines. As for 208s or 241s its the same thing they need to be a 32 spline from behind either a Th400, 4L80...

    Unknown under hood wire

Looks like it was either some hacked in ignition power source for the dizzy or a hacked in tach wire. From the drivers side looking at the distributor the power feed goes on the right towards the firewall and the tach goes in the left toward the radiator

    My 1991 v1500 suburban

Are you going to run a cross over steering setup? That is the only reason you would use a 2wd steering box. Because the spline position is rotated on the 2wd box which makes it perfect for a cross over steering set up. IF your not. Then just get a raised steering arm in either 4" or 6" to match...

    Chevy 350 engine crack

When you take the heads off you will be able to better see the extent of the internal damage. If any! Im with Jerry on this one unless the crack extends further on the inside. which is doubtful. You might want to check the deck height for trueness though.

    Tranny swap

    That's why I said circular 32 spline 205!
