I wouldn't count on it being anytime soon LOL but it almost seems inevitable that if I want to find a nice mint bed, that they are all well South of me LOL

Older flat tappet cam engines, what oil do you use?

Ya but if left in the oil for substantial periods of time it almost acts like an acid by etching the metal and making the metal surface not so perfectly smooth anymore thus causing wear

Older flat tappet cam engines, what oil do you use?

There is research now that shows ZDDP is good for initial break in but if continuously used that the ZDDP can actually cause premature wear because it etches the metal.

What have you done to your square lately??

Ya that was a sweet find! Im very jealous! Im still looking for a good box. I should just find out how much it would cost to get a bed shipped up here and then get one from one of you guys or something. The only thing is I would really worry about it getting damaged during shipping!

What have you done to your square lately??

Pulled out my sagging head liner. Put it away in a safe spot to deal with later. Its SO NICE not having that stupid liner combing my hair for me every time I moved my head LOL But seriously I think I have developed a bent neck posture while driving, from that stupid liner always rubbing my head...

    Torsional Damper AND crankshaft seal?

It should be replaced if it is leaking at all. To replace the front crankshaft seal, it is a good idea to remove the timing cover so as not to bend the $%^&^ out of it when installing the seal.

Let's see your broken tool... o.0

Nah these things are like Canadian Tire crap! Master Crap or something :whymewhyme: Pretty much every thing they sell is from China. I personally boycott that store just for that reason! Its too funny how I keep ending up with these piles o crap every year LOL I wouldn't spend 10 cents on one!

    Will K10 shocks fit a C10?

Ya but if its just a stock K10 shock to a stock C10 it wont bottom out before the axles do.

    Driveshaft Angle and Phasing

You should be ok. Just don't get too carried away offroad unless you get a proper length drive shaft built. I have ran a 6" for years with the stock drive shaft. BUT it would be better for wear and tear if you had a properly lengthened drive shaft. If you did a 6" lift with the extra 1" in...

    Beginners Advice to the Quadrajet

You can bend it. Which means your metering will always be out to lunch. Or pull it apart into 2 pieces. Which leaves you with a non working carb. You can also wreck the plastic compression seal that holds it in the bore. Again then you have a carb that is only good for parts. I have never...

    Will K10 shocks fit a C10?

I don't see why not. The front might have different sized bushings. If you already have the shocks it cant hurt to try! It wont hurt anything if the shock is to long only if its too short. How well a longer shock works may be up for debate though.

Let's see your broken tool... o.0

How about those stupid electric impact guns. Everybody seems to keep giving me 1 or 2 each year. They are such junk! LOL The first one literally went up in flames! And then after it caught fire I got out my breaker bar and spun the nut off LMAO Complete junk! Every other one has faired about...

remove leaves on 4" lift to make 2" lift with better ride?

IMO Superlift springs are good quality. Even though mine were made in India. Now they are all made in the USA. But they are stiff springs and only ride nicely when you have some weight on them. When I had the ol 6.2 they rode like a caddy. Now with just a SB they ride like a tank. But tough and...

    Beginners Advice to the Quadrajet

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLpUqS9zrP8 Just don't pull the power piston out like this guy does !!! Push it down and let the spring push it out. Just keep repeating until it pops out by itself.

help with gas tank size. short bed and long bed

Long beds came with either or 16 or 20 gallon tanks. There is no 32 gallon saddle tank. All short beds however only came with 16 gallon tanks for obvious reasons. If you have the 16s on a long bed already you should be able to just cut down the fuel fill hoses and reuse everything on the...

    Adding a tach question

The factory tach bezel housing is just the non tach with an opening behind the tach. So it would be very easy to take a non tach housing and dremmel an opening behind the large fuel gauge. It is simply there so that you can access the pins on the back of the tach as the tach does not connect to...

    Bad Combo?

My only concern was that the ECM may run some of the gauges. That sounds unlikely though. So unless you specifically need the ECM for something, which I can not think of any, just disconnect it completely and don't use it. The regular HEI does not need any ECM functions and does not have any...
