    Bumper & Frame Issue

Are you measuring from the edge of the metal or from a location hole in the frame? Its completely reasonable that the edges do not measure up right. But if you use the locating holes in the frame you will know for sure. Is the rear bumper bent? The only way to find out what's going on is...

    Gas leak help?!??!

I know that if I fill my tank completely full but not overfull, that when I park it in the sun it will spew a good amount of fuel out onto the ground. Even with it being vented to atmosphere! My question would be how can a 3/4 full tank become so full so that it pisses out the filler neck? And...

    Bumper & Frame Issue

So your saying that one frame horn is 1" shorter then the other? How is the rest of the body sitting on the frame? If you measure the rear frame ends are they symmetrical? If the frame is fine at the back but 1" short at the front then one side needs to be crumpled or stretched to get that...

    Por 15

You know I have often wondered if a guy were to make his own with some nice sturdy angle iron if a guy couldn't use that to suck his hood back straight. Its worth a try :)

    79 k30 lift

Either do a 2 1/2 and 3" lift or a 4" lift. Anything after 4" cause driveline issues. The thing to keep in mind is that the smallest steering correction arm is 4" although I think you can get a 2" dropped drag link. The steering arm is the way to go. The max lift with out steering correction...

    Por 15

I see that hood is bent :( Have you looked around for a replacement? The trick with those old round eyes is to keep those hood hinges lubed so that they don't bind.

Long tube or short tube headers?

If he has a 2wd then for sure use an X pipe right behind the slip yoke on the tranny so that you can still access the tranny pan without having to remove your exhaust system. If he has 4wd then probably only an H pipe will fit behind the transfer case. The H pipe makes it sound better but...

    Front Crossmember

For one it keeps the frame rails from pulling apart seeing as that's where the front spring hangers are located. And 2 that engine cross member has been known to crack and break many times. If you removed the front cross member, then the engine cross member would break in half in very short...

    Putting 35's on with a 700r4

IMO I consider a good auxiliary cooler mandatory for a 700r4 regardless of where you live.

    Putting 35's on with a 700r4

Ive been thinking more and more that yes 4:56s would be ideal with a 700r4 and 33-35" rubber. I would like to have my OD rpm at around 2500-2700 RPM at 70 mph. That way in town it would work so much better for those 40 and 50 mph areas. And would definitely make it so much easier for the 700r4...

No power up hill or after 45 MPH

Is it RPM related sounds like maybe it is a clogged fuel filter or mechanical fuel pump on the way out.

    Wheel bearing replacement.

FYI the proper way to adjust pre load (according to the shop manual) is to tighten to 50 ft lbs while spinning the wheel and then back off 90* then tighten to 35 ft lbs while spinning the wheel then back off 3/8 of a turn. Then tighten just enough to line up with the closest hole on the lock...

    84 blinker lever

Yep just buy a new non cruise turn stick and it will work fine:) The cruise on the lever has a small set of wires that run down the inside of the column and is unrelated to the turn or wiper controls.

Long tube or short tube headers?

Headers make more power over stock manifolds by eliminating interference between pulses and using the collector to draw or suck the exhaust gasses out of the other primaries when they are not pulsing.
