    4x4 adapter is the (usually)cast aluminum piece that goes between the transmission and the transfer case. It is also what bolts to the transmission cross member, where as 2wd use the transmission to bolt to the cross member.

    You need the shifters for the 205 too! The 208 from the 700r4 will not swap unless you change input gears. And the 208 shift linkage will not operate the 205. As for the hump the 4wd and manual or manual/4wd are the same just that the openings are in different spots. Only the 2wd automatic humps...

    I would almost want to install the intake and carb with HEI before installing the cam. Make sure it all runs just fine. Set the timing and mark it. Then install the cam. This way when you go to fire the cam up for the first time it will start with no issues.

    Also remember to break the cam in for 20-30 minutes with lots of ZDDP @ 2000 RPM. Just follow the instructions that come with it, but run the ZDDP while breaking it in.

    You want Edelbrock #2104 non egr spread bore. Strangely I don't see a square bore intake for 87-95 heads from Edelbrock but the 2104 will accept a square or spread bore carb anyways.
