    Pistons were pretty burnt, but the soaked up the oil that got into the cylinders so it's hard to tell

    The th400 has shift kit, the t case is brand new, the rear end with soon be done as well, and isn't double only a little bit? I just want something to toy with while I build the 496

    Pulled he 350 from the truck Saturday morning, ran the numbers, it's a stock replacement goodwrench 350 Looks ok internally, gonna keep crank, don't want to bore it, what's the best rebuild kit and cam kit? Looking for more torque through the curve and more horsepower as well, would be happy...

    Moved it to my house finally, getting ready to remove the 350 and rebuild it, how would the best way to drain coolant be? I'm trying to keep it from getting all over the driveway

    I know what the shims are for, but the 1/8" I used to set it to chewed up the starters, so I slapped it on one day without them and not had a problem

    I used them to get the clearance I needed But I stopped because they kept getting chewed up The teeth have no clearance between them but oh well lol

    Isn't it? Lol Anyone else not use the shims? I used to but my starters never lasted long, stopped using them and my starter last longer, is quieter, and starts faster

    Took the battery out Was hard starting/not starting There's a ticking that sounds internal Not quite sure yet Soon as I get my garage cleaned out I'm gonna pull it and rebuilt it

    So it's been about a month driving on the case and it's been doing pretty well No leaks out of it and the selector works smooth Very happy with the fit of the drivetrain warehouse kit
