    Leak with new seals

I've got a bit of a leak myself, on a TH400. Thought it was the pan, but nope. I'm pretty sure it's my shift linkage seal, but haven't tried putting that in yet. Watching to hear what the transmission masters say!

Gauge Cluster--73 to 87 (100mph speedo, clock, no O.D., no tach)

I might be interested in an oil gauge and temp gauge that would fit an 83 K20!

    Coolant Temperature sensor

Okay, that makes a lot more sense now. I obviously couldn't install the larger sensor, so I found the one shown below at the local parts house. I was trying to test it with boiling water and see how it would change the resistance. Never changed a lick. The sensor showed open the entire time...

    Coolant Temperature sensor

That's exactly what I bought, but it's too large. Won't fit in the coolant hole. ;)

    Coolant Temperature sensor

A while back, I was trying to get my temp gauge working quickly (trying to get her back home), but wasn't having any luck, so I installed a cheapo aftermarket kit from the local parts store, and all was good (other than her getting hot on the highway when I run the A/C). Now that I've got a few...

What have you done to your square lately??

Ah, gotcha, thanks. I've had the drivers side tank down once without removing the bed (thought I had a clogged sock), it was a real bear. Upon reinstalling, I realized my gauge wasn't right so I'm needing to get in there and check grounds and sending unit. For both sides. Thinking that...

What have you done to your square lately??

Did you pull the bed to do it? Think I've got a bad sender, and need to get in there. Thinking that the bed lift is the way to go?

    Aftermarket aluminum intake worth it?

Hey, thanks!! I do love lookin' at her! It's so cool getting this thing running a bit better every time I tinker. And my wife helps along the way. Which is fitting, because this is the rig she learned to drive with!! :)

    Aftermarket aluminum intake worth it?

I hear ya. I've been extremely undecided on trying to stay stock or upgrading or building a 383. But, I've made a decision. At least for the remainder of this week. lol I've always loved the Mighty Mouse, so I'll be keeping this powerplant. But I'll be pulling the old 350 out in the spring...

    Aftermarket aluminum intake worth it?

Yeppers, that's the kit I ended up ordering. Was trying to find it local, but no joy. Just wasn't going to get here before I needed to get her put back together. Ended up just grabbing a bit of aluminum flat bar, drilling some holes, and calling it done until the kit comes in.

    Aftermarket aluminum intake worth it?

Another quick question for y'all. So, I've installed the intake and am letting it sit for an hour (per Ultra Grey's instructions), then I'll go out and torque her up. I applied a bit of RTV to the manifold bolt threads, but it just dawned on me. I've got A/C on this truck, and as such, I have...

Yeah, that's actually a picture of an Edelbrock 2101 intake. ;)

    Aftermarket aluminum intake worth it?

Yep, that's what I thought it was. And when I called my three local parts houses, all the kids sounded like I was speaking nonsense. LOL Probably gonna have to redneck engineer something until I can get a pretty kit. ;)

    Aftermarket aluminum intake worth it?

I appreciate all the replies folks! So here's the current plan. I need to get this thing back together before I leave for work again. Say, the day after Thanksgiving. So, I cleaned up the existing intake with degreaser, brushes, and whatever I could to get the 38 year old gunk off and in it...

    Aftermarket aluminum intake worth it?

Okay, let's go ahead and get this out of the way. I'm an idiot. There. Done. I said it. So, six months ago, I purchased an intake. Specifically, an Edelbrock 2701 intake. I shipped it to a work site, opened it up, and oooh'd and aaaah'd at the finish. I packed it back up, and dropped it...
