Painless Wiring with Dakota Digital Fan Sensor

That makes sense, thank you. I will be back with the truck tomorrow, but in the meantime I am struggling to find any information on how to then run a wire to the inside of the truck, then to the front of the truck. I have read and re-read that accessory port page on the painless manual...

Painless Wiring with Dakota Digital Fan Sensor

Good Afternoon All, Well somehow I was able to install a complete 27 circuit painless wiring kit, but I can’t figure out this Dakota Digital fan sensor (PAC 2800BT) I have the module wired in the truck behind the dash, but am stuck on the relay. The question is, where do I get the “fuse...

    Bench Seat

I recently got a set of seat belts for my truck. Does anyone know what the stock configuration was for the middle lap belt? I can’t seem to find any information on it. Is the Female or Male end closer to the drivers side?

    Front end ticking..

I picked up a mechanics stethoscope, and was still really struggling to pin-point the exact location the noise seemed to be coming from. After some more research into different forums of people complaining about noises in small blocks. Someone had commented that it could simple be the serpentine...

    Front end ticking..

Well I took off the belt today, and the noise was gone. So it surely has to be something on the serpentine setup. I do believe it may be the AC since the noise seems to be loudest over there. The Pervious owner had put this “93 motor in the truck, with all of the pulleys and so on. So the AC...

    Front end ticking..

Great idea, I don’t think I’ll be able to get to it today. But I’ll get it done tomorrow, and will give an updated.

    Front end ticking..

Wasn’t the rocker arms. Truck doesn’t make the noise at startup. But once I give it some gas, then let it go back to idle the tick starts again and stays. I look into the AC clutch.

    Front end ticking..

My power steering pump doesn’t even have 300 miles on it. So hopefully it didn’t fail already. I just now pulled my valve covers and am tightening up the loose rocker arms. I didn’t originally think it was the rocker arms because the noise doesn’t get faster with higher rpms. However still...

    Front end ticking..

Can anyone help me identify what this ticking noise is? It sounds likes it is coming from the serpentine setup, and when it “ticks” the belt seems to wobble. I just replaced the belt tensioner and the idler pulley, thinking it was one of those two. The power steering pump pulley has some play...

    Dies when put into gear

Got the truck running again, and into gear. Put on a new edelbrock carb, and the truck now goes into gear! The only possible vacuum issues that I can think that it had may have been the vacuum line that runs to the brake booster. However I believe it was the carb, I checked the vacuum line...

    Dies when put into gear

I went ahead and adjusted the timing to 12 degrees ATDC ( or very close) , truck starts up great and ideals fine. It tried to run a bit after I put it in gear, but still dies, even if I am giving it gas. This weekend, I have someone bringing in another carb that I will try and place on the...

    Dies when put into gear

I didn’t even think that this could be a timing issue, I will go ahead and get a timing light then.

    Dies when put into gear

I can’t put it into drive to mess with the mixtures screws, because once I go to shift it it dies, even if I give it gas. I have let the engine warm up too before trying to go into gear

    Dies when put into gear

The tach on it isn’t working as of now, but I have also adjusted the RPM higher and was still getting the same results. For the timing, I am not sure on the degrees of it. I will run to the auto parts store and get one. Could it be the timing? I just set it by going to TDC.

    Dies when put into gear

Hello Everyone, I recently got my engine running good at idle since I did both head gaskets. But now the issue is it dies when put into gear. Originally I thought it was the vacuum line that goes from the back of the intake manifold to the transmission. But that seems to be fine. Then I...

    Intake manifold not fitting flush

Thank you all for the information! I appreciate it. I will be using RTV to close the gap.

    Intake manifold not fitting flush

Hello All, I am having an issue where I have a “gap” between the intake and the rear China wall. This gap is just below the distributor. It is wide enough where I can fit the distributor gasket underneath the intake. I have tried 2 different intakes and still have the same issue. It fits...

    No power

I just replaced my starter due to some issues that it was having, put new battery cables on too. And I go to start it up and I have no power at all. I have check the fuses, battery connections, re-installed the old starter, and even put in a new ignition switch. Im lost as what I should be...

    Backfire

Thinking that I may have installed the distributor wrong, could that be my only issue? Or would it be a vacuum leak that would have caused the backfire?

    Backfire

I had recently pulled my intake manifold off to a fresh coat of paint, and to cleaned everything up. Today I finally got it all back together, and went to start it.. and my battery went bad. Got the new battery in it, Cranks just fine sounds like it wants to start, but wasn’t getting...

    Gauge connections

That’s a great help thanks! And okay I’ll be taking that off, I have no desire for cruise control as of now

    Gauge connections

When I purchased my truck the previous owner had another gauge cluster in much better condition. When attempting to replace the gauge in the truck ( which none of the gauges worked) the wiring seems to vary. I have looked into this issue and have not seen any other post on this forum and those...

    No way this is right?

I thought about pulling the covers off to put a fresh coat of paint and cleaning off all of the old gasket sealant that is around. Before I do that I will look into this issue some more. Thank you for your input!

    No way this is right?

Looks like is is going to be a TH 400. It has 13 bolts and the shape seems to resemble the TH400 shape. Do you guys agree? The pictures don’t really do any justice...
