    MC leak. Rebuild or replace?

I was looking at my stereo wiring today in preparation for an amp installation when I saw this at the firewall.I'm including a picture of the engine side also. Are all rebuild kits the same or is there one in particular I should be looking for?

What have you done to your square lately??

Installed new speakers in the corners. I know the brackets are cheap looking but they didn't cost anything and the seat hides them. I'll clean up the wiring once my amp gets installed. The sound out of them is 100% better then the previous speakers I was using.

Wanting to add a couple 6x9s to my truck...need help on enclosure

If you have any friends that work on sheet metal you could have them make some for you. Here's a couple of pics of the ones I built for some new 4 x 10 speakers. Painting them right now and then I'll install them. Mine have no opening around the edges. I built them to fill the entire corner opening.

What have you done to your square lately??

It took me awhile to find the right set online. Finally found them in the Rockauto clearance bin for under $7.

What have you done to your square lately??

I got them at Classic Industries. They said they're for both LH and RH. The mirrors themselves were, but the rubber mounts were not. The mounts are made to tilt the assembly up above the bottom of the window opening so you can see the whole mirror. The problem is, is that the mount is square on...

New ignition wires, rotor, and cap. Removed the large mirrors and went with smaller ones.

    Finally got it painted!

$5000 is not unreasonable. I'm going to try to do most of the body work myself but I'll probably still approach the same amount of money.

I'm also curious as to the cost, and how much they had to do before painting...I.E body work, etc. I'm planning on having mine painted next year.

When I drug my 77 out of the field after sitting for years, I hooked one to the battery and left it on most of the day. Battery is like brand new now.

    Wrangler Radials?

I have some on my truck but I don't go off road. They're 8 years old with maybe 3000 miles on them. They sat in the field for most of those years. They ride great on pavement with very little noise.

You don't have a leaking heater core by any chance? It's fairly common for them to leak in these trucks.

    Window Regulators

I used a can of white graphite spray to lube the rollers and pivots. It doesn't run or drip when applied. You can't believe how smoothly the window rolls up now. The other regulator works fine but I'm half tempted to change it out too.

    OEM styled wheels

Thanks, it seems like everyone around here goes with rally's or aluminum's. The new set I'm going to put on are the old style smoothies. It's rare around here to see them and I just don't want my truck to look like everyone else's.

    No synthetic

Found this on a Mechanics website: Using synthetic oils in older models When using the term “older” to refer to cars, it means those manufactured before 1990 or so. The risk with these models is that the seals and other components often aren’t as tight as with newer models. The synthetic oil...
