What have you done to your square lately??

For a while the old girl has been a pretty ruff ride. Moreso with a passenger. a minor ripple or bump in the road would cause the right front tire to make contact with the top of the wheel well. Thought it must be either the shocks or weakened springs from the extra weight of the blower. Ruled...

What have you done to your square lately??

Several companies offer them for our trucks. I do business with Stock Interiors & they price them @ 118.95. Since I had enough vinyl left over it was a no-brainer way to go for me.

What have you done to your square lately??

Finally got around to getting my visors covered. Been putting it off because I was NOT going to use the local guy that did my dash. Found a dude in Elgin, east of Lawton that quoted $50 for the pair with me supplying the vinyl. Just picked them up & thought he did a great job. He basically...

    Spark plug gap

Got rid of the gas in ‘07. Only knocked the top 2 lands off of 3 pistons but didn’t hurt the plugs. Pretty sure I’ve changed plugs since then tho. Only running 10lbs of forced air now. Maybe sealing the side gap up I could get 11. And @John Nes , I may have used too much never seize on it...

    Spark plug gap

Anyone think the wrong gap on this spark plug coulda caused this or do I just need the next colder range? Or maybe just a good cleaning & smoothing it up some with JB Weld? With the price gouging going on at O’Reallys because of C19, just needing a way to bring some new life into this without...

    Hose control

Looks good. Putting wire looms on all the exposed electrical wires would help clean things up a bit. I've done the same. If ya take your time and do them all the same, they do do a nice job.

    Hose control

Or if on a budget, the poor man’s clamp...2 zip ties. I went this route when i ran injection. May not be as purdy as the $20+ a pop clamps, but just as effective.

What have you done to your square lately??

Also had a bit of play in the front wheel bearings so pulled them, repacked & reset the preload. Slop is gone. The color of my window switches have been bugging me because they just didn’t look right to me. Took the door panels off in order to remove the top panel from the main one to get at...

What have you done to your square lately??

Finally got the tires swapped out yesterday. I used our machine at work to do it. My plan is to put the black wheels with the old sportsman bias tires on soon & finish them off & then put the other ones on the play wheels for the burnout competition next May. Anyhow, got her looking presentable...

What have you done to your square lately??

Only way to get fatter is with what I used to run. Goodyear 31x16.0 slicks. 19.6 sectional & 16.1 tread width. Fills the tubs out just right, but I'm not going that route again. No more bias tires. Can get scary quick with any kind of moisture on the street. I actually trimmed off some fat...

    Days of My Youth

All the talk about snakes recently got me thinking of the old days. So I looked thru another box of pics and found my old pet. Got him my senior year in ‘73. My parents were cool with him staying in the house. He only got out of his case a few times. Never hard to locate & gather him back up...

I feel your pain. Have done this numerous times thru the years. You'd think after the first time, the glasses would be worn. For some stupid reason, I seem to still not use them.

Happy to say I haven’t needed to do anything. That’s the way I like it to go. Just get in and drive.

You’re not the only one to do this. One dark night many years ago, Tina & I were dispatched to the lake north of town because our daughter had a dead battery. I twisted up a couple of road trip refreshments and away we go in a little Ranger pickup. Got there, popped the hood and got hers jumped...

What have you done to your square lately??

I ran the Monroe years ago add changed to the Bell Tech. This was before the extra 152 lbs was added to the top of the engine. They are low pressure shocks and just didn’t like the weight but I tolerated the spongy feel until they wore out. The yellows suit my needs more. I just can’t just come...

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the words. I always keep her clean, but nothing on this level. Luckily it’s just once a year I can make a showing for the host town.
