    Days of My Youth

Actually still have hair, just receding in the front. Never wore a cap so it's full on top. Length is a thing of the past tho. Close cropped with no hassles. She's still here too. Some hassles here and there tho;)

    Days of My Youth

In memory of the one car I wish I still had and hoping she is still pounding the streets somewhere But I still got to hang on to this a bit longer Until life finally caught up with us. So fast forward thru the family life. Kids are gone and have their family thing going. We have got...

    Days of My Youth

Another goodie showed up so it was time to pull the engine out of the Chevelle. Once all the other stuff needed to fill the engine bay was acquired, in it went. Of course the pic is really lousy here. A local racer had a "bulletproof" Turbo 350 for sale so I got that and drove it around...

    Days of My Youth

I came across this a few weeks later Time to take the floor pan out from the back of the seats to the back panel Rookie with a chisel, hammer and grinder, what could go wrong? Looks worse than it really was. just punctured my forehead on a jagged piece of metal, but I had to have a little...

    Days of My Youth

After our recent move, I was going thru boxes of pictures and found a bunch of old photos that brought out all the good times I had in the old day. Yeah, the 1900's. Ah, the 70's and 80's. Well, the 70's mostly. Photos of drag cars of the era and my old rides. If only we had a camera in our...

Is a Spark Plug...a Spark Plug??

Must be a mistype. Never heard of a gas engine producing that kind of compression. Even if they could, it wouldn’t be with flat top pistons and sure not on pump gas. Diesels do make those numbers, but that a total different animal. Myself, I would go with either plug, run them a bit, and pull...

    Post your hood scoops!

How about a blast from my past. My old Vega that got me around back in the mid 70’s. Snorkels were the thing around here

Is a Spark Plug...a Spark Plug??

I’ll throw another penny in the pot. That topic is still being debated with no set answers. Performance wise, a projected tip burns cleaner and exposes more spark because it is “projected” just past the last thread in the plug hole. But because it is further into the combustion chamber, it can...

Is a Spark Plug...a Spark Plug??

Sbc would use ngk 7516, heat range 5. Not sure why you were recommended to run 8’s. That’s a pretty cold plug. Because of the blower, I have to run 1-2 ranges colder than stock so I run ngk ur6 7773. Tried 7’s but they didn’t burn as clean. I’m also running Hookers and have no clearance issues...

Anyone know the correct gap for the drain plug? Didn’t bother searching for the answer since I know I’ll get a quick and timely response

Hi from Bs. As. - Argentina

Here's a couple of places you can try. Might be easier to use their contact us button and send them an email for what you are looking for instead of searching by year and make. Either way, maybe they will help get what you are looking for or recommend someone else...

Is 28"x17"x1.25" radiator OK for mild 350?

I just had mine repaired last month. I almost went with an O'reilly radiator but opted to stay with the old copper and bass one. One of the tanks and a tube was seeping and several fins closed up from our giant grasshopper impacts. The leaks were soldered, the core rodded out, the fins combed...

Is 28"x17"x1.25" radiator OK for mild 350?

That's the same dimension factory radiator that's in my truck. No heater hoses run to it either. Only difference is my tranny is cooled thru the radiator. And I have an electric instead of a mechanical fan. I have had no issues keeping my 383 with a 671 cooled (the roots adds a lot more heat)...

Hi from Bs. As. - Argentina

Cool links Franco! In US dollars, how much are used C10 trucks in decent shape costing over there?

Hi from Bs. As. - Argentina

Nice truck Franco!! Welcome to the site. The only thing I see wrong.....not enough pictures:). Open the hood, throw the doors open, and show us more of your truck. I find the bed cover hold downs interesting but can't tell too much about them from the picture. I haven't seen a setup like that...
