New Tooling 73-78 Stock hood
dang 400? I can buy a cowl hood for that price here locally. I do see they keep claiming better tooling thicker metal on fenders and such. Maybe I should wait? but I can't afford to pay double for the parts honestly- Swims350

The said part is just about everyone of them is the same or comes from the same place, goodmark sherman etc. I would highly recomend you try local I never buy local because they are always higher, but this time I though eh wth try it and found out they are usually the same prices as summit...- Swims350

take the old pump to the store and match it up. I found ony m86 86 gmc 1500 with a 305 that it's water pump was different from say an 85 or so part number wise not sure why anything else because they all looked the same. they are supposed to but as above you using a 80 and older frame use the 80 and older bushing kits that's what everyone says. as for that bolt hole being off, did not know that, good to know and I'll enlarge mine, I'm gonna have japan repops for fender anyways. -

you can cimply unbolt the wiper cowl from the 81 and up and remove the plastic screen. Then swap the wiper linkage to th eolder style. You can cover the holes in the cowl where the old hood hinge went into or maybe leave it open? botl on the 73-80 outers, inners, radiator support. No need to... -
just 2 more inches...
drop leafs. or pull some. Anything else and I think you'd want stock hangers back on and do a flip kit.- Swims350

Diy4x shackle flip help
I can understand the whole length thing but why do you see some where the shackle itself angles backwards and some forwards? By that I mean the bottom is forward or back in relationship to the top of the shackle. I would assume the axle is meant to go up and back not forwards.- Swims350

Bed Panels: Welded or Bolted?
I have personally dismantled 2 short fleetsides and it's simple. You have bolts all along the lower sides, and along the wheel house inside, from under the truck those unbolt and then those spot welds are in back to set the gaps for the tailgate and keep them from moving in.
