    H - Pipes

Either an X or H pipe are a big improvement for sbc or bbc, I prefer x pipe for street car and h pipe for truck, since you can monkey with your low end torque better with h pipe diameter, length and location. Mostly the deeper sound of h pipe.

What new tools have you got lately?

Nice! Think it can twist a lug stud off? That's a bit of torque, make a great wrecking yard wrench for taking the tires once they are off the ground instead of convincing Billy-Bob to wedge his ass under the tire to stop it from turning, lol.

My 1982 Buick Grand National Project basket case

Really like mine. Get two bottles and a spool gun. 1 big bottle of stargon and 1 small bottle of argon (for welding aluminum with the spool gun).

    Sm465 not shifting

on a hydraulic, all you ever need to do is bleed it on ones iv'e worked on. Might check the bolts on the slave and make sure they are not starting to back out.

    Sm465 not shifting

When stuff like that happens, the first place I always look is where something was done last. An easy way to see where the clutch disengages is park on a hill with the motor off and in 1st and slowly push in the pedal and see where you start to roll forward at. If it barely moves, either clutch...

Bleeding a hydraulic clutch system on a 2007 Forester

Bleeding a hydraulic clutch system on a 2007 Forester

What I use is a pneumatic bleeder, like the one here about 7+ min in. Got tired of beating my head against the wall trying to do it myself.

LMC Mirrors Chome VS Stainless Whats the difference?

Would also verify if the "stainless" are really stainless steel. Cheap chrome mirrors will rust out in a few years where real stainless steel never rusts and should be a lot more than $3 more than chrome.

    Door speaker cover / pod

Another idea for you if you have headroom is the speaker headliner. https://www.brotherstrucks.com/73-87-CUSTOM-HIGHLINER-HEADLINER-TRUCK/productinfo/HL87SPK/WITHOUT/ Then just install your own speakers for best sound, spray the inside roof with lizard skin before you put the headliner up...

    '80 K30 cruise control

Lol, so it's the opposite of a wife since they seem to try and make you go 10 mph slower. ;)

    '80 K30 cruise control

Never seen one like that before, looked it up and classic industries has one. Wiring is correct in the picture. This type was listed for most GM vehicles with the dimmer switch on the floor instead of the signal switch, that is what was confusing me. So with this type of cruise, looks like it is...

    '80 K30 cruise control

I'll get some pictures of all the parts tonight. All I know for sure is that someone had been into the signal switch before since one of the 3 screws for the signal switch was missing, the lever is the non-cruise control lever and the wiring to old control on lever was broke off flush just under...

    '80 K30 cruise control

Got a question on my 1980 Chevy K30. Under the hood, it has all the cruise control items that were still hooked up, but inside is a mystery. It has a tilt steering column that I tore down the other day to rebuild and install new key switch (auto column). Didn't even think about it, but the turn...

What new tools have you got lately?

Well, my crapsman 19.2v screw gun and my hammer drill finally bit the bullet so instead of just buying another one to keep my set full like I've done for the past 15 years, I decided to change direction with cordless kits. Here is what I started with, DeWalt brushless hammer drill, impact driver...

Is it time to scrap the 16.5" wheels?

Sort of went out of style for awhile I think. My eyes are light sensitive, so I like having them more for that, don't care what it looks like.

Is it time to scrap the 16.5" wheels?

I ran into the same issue with my 16.5's, very limited selection and very expensive. I went with 17" American racing Ansen slots, loved the 'ol slots, just couldn't find one without the fake beadlock look. Still like them on my 86 with 37's. 17's or 18's are almost the same price for tires, so...

    Grille

The mid 80's 4 light GMC grill is my favorite. I'm swapping my 80 single square to the 86 nose with that grill.
